Mine's like 12K more. I've binned it.

I didn't get an AM's offer recently. What I did get last week from Citi Premier Miles was a cash rebate offer on spend over a threshold. In my case that was HK$8500. But the max rebate was $300/month for $10,000 over the threshold, and by my calculation that isn't significantly better than putting it on HSBC Visa Signature in my case where most of my spending gets 3.6% back there (in the 9X category)

HSBC offering pro-rated refunds of pre-4 Jan Mileage Programme conversion fee

I verified
HSBC are offering pro-rated refunds
If you joined before 4/1/16 and didn't convert thereafter
They're treating it as a change in T&C that you can decline

So e.g. if your last Mileage Programme renewal was Oct 2015, last conversion was 4/1/16, you can get $200 back.

I'm rather confused. If I transferred miles and paid the fee on 31 Dec. Can I still get a pro-rata refund?

good find! but how does it work?

Do you need to call up and state that "you do not agree with the devaluation"? and they give you the difference in miles back in RC?

Call them up and ask for it

Or send them a message thru internet banking. No action or continuing redemptions after 4 Jan means deemed acceptance of new t&c.

Thanks, but is the set amount 200RC? Or is there some kind of calculation they do?

(Corrected) SCB Asiamiles World Mastercard $4/AM on online, dining, overseas spending

(Hat tip jokelib) New killer card to knock BEA off its perch. Stay tuned

Not quite the killer card we've been hoping for. $4/mile on ***dining, overseas and online***

So this would be the reason for SCB's devaluation of the current Amex Worldmiles card.

$4/mile on ***dining, overseas and online***

The general spend rate has not been announced in the full release video https://www.facebook.com/asiamiles/v...4771895956739/

General earn rate $6/mile

(Hat tip flyformiles): 17,000 miles for $7,500 spending (must not be existing SCB cardholder http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...p?id=17590&p=3 #24)

I'm thankful for the dining offer, and will apply for it as soon as it becomes available for application
But I won't use the card overseas - <Prestige (also $4/mile but has relationship bonus)
Nor for online - <eye ($3/AM and I don't have to worry about cross-border fee) (as SCB MC this card is exposed to cross-border fee)

Interesting how this card is branded specifically an Asia Miles card, whereas the Amex card is a Cathay Pacific card.

Best credit card lists in wiki updated

(Updated 19:31) I'm wondering if this new card should go on the Beginner's Recommendation
For experienced card miles earners this card doesn't have a USP except dining
But as a beginner's card, it neatly covers two shortfalls of BEA Flyer World - an elevated earning rate for dining and overseas.

Does anyone else support this? derek2010 does
