They have a dedicated ID check line, but once after ID check it is into the mix with everybody using the same baggage/people scanners which can be a cluster@#$%.

I flew on CX807 in F last month, and arrived at the check-in area around 1PM. I was given an escort through security and shown to the small, separate F lounge which was staffed by a CX employee. Several others were already there, so my impression is that the 12 PM figure is correct. It was certainly open before 2PM.

Also, has CX807 been outfitted with the new F hard product yet?

Did you try or were you able to eat at the BA Dining Room? Some say it is exclusive to flying BA F -- the OW website states this -- just curious if the CX employee granted you access? I believe it's in the Business Class lounge.

There isn't a particular aircraft assigned to the route, so it is luck of the draw whether you will have a refreshed cabin. I've flown both and, while the refresh is nice, there isn't a radical change with the new product. Others may disagree.

I considered heading across the hall for the dining room, but decided to save room for the food onboard.

Despite the minor niggles, either version of CX F longhaul is a great way to fly!

I agree the F refresh isn't that significant compared to "not so old" F. The advantage of newer surfacing and Bose branded noise canceling headsets in refreshed F is negated somewhat by the finicky and clunky user interface of the touchscreen seat controls for me.

Also, you are the second person who has mentioned the touchscreen controls being unintuitive. I've seen images; what's so difficult about using them?

Any consensus that BA will open later for the new flight starting in two days? Looks like last BA is 2015 departure (generally) so if not there, gonna revert back to oldies but not necessarily goodies? Good news is at that time should be able to cut down on lead time to airport ...

Guess it's better than nothing: used AF (er, PP), SAS (contract), and forget what in January (maybe that was BA)--probs not in retrospect since I would have remembered First lounge, so guess looking forward to trying something new. Not gonna give a 0100 departure the same lead time as afternoon flight so less time there too

So it sounds like BA Business Lounge will be used for CX805 departure? Any idea when the opening hour was for your flight? The missus will be flying that route this weekend.
