they removed the pillow from the past of the seat that can be folded down!!
before the bed looked like this http://thepointsguy.com/wp-content/u...-Class-Bed.jpg
with the arm rest also sliding out to form the bed- the new pictures of the fully made bed seem to indicate otherwise- which means headspace is reduced
looks very ummm - let just say the flight attendant red provides a nice contrast

That cupholder to avoid spills in turbulence? I don't think that it will make any difference. Looks like maybe 1/8 inch lip is all that would hold the cup in place.

another small change, it appears CX has installed the flower holders at all seats in the 777. I think that's a nice move. In the current (non-refreshed) 777 there are only lily holders I think in the D seats, I never understood why the window seats didn't get flowers on the new 777. Versus the 747, where all seats have them.

You can see in this picture how it actually worked in the old version.

I recall that the side part can be pulled down and become an arm rest.

Correct...same for LchChester below you. Seat looks the same design to me. I think Kachjc is confused, the side thing never slid down when the seat reclined - it was always an arm rest folded down, or just made for a massive seat when upright.

CX scores ahead of SQ 6 to 8!
I think everyone has missed the really smart move on CX's part - do a modest refurb but keep the very expensive seat mechanicals and only 6 of them in the 777. SQ had a chance to even the game earlier this month with their new first but blew the budget on new seats and forgot the important thing - total cabin space. They still cram 8 suits in where CX continues with just 6. It makes a big difference.
Congratulations CX

The side part does not fold or slide down. However, you can raise up the end part of the side to make it horizontal with the flat bed if that makes sense.
