Domestic was fast (way less than 10 minutes) for us on June 30 around 09:00, but we both have Nexus and didn't get caught up behind families or strollers.

3 hours. Security lines aren't as much of an issue anymore and international/US wasn't as affected as domestic. But with US customs prior to departure you never know when you're going to win that lottery. Happened to me a couple years ago. Had to wait almost an hour in secondary but fortunately had arrived early enough.

My experience. The regular line stretched back out and ran behind the AC check in desks. No line up for Nexus. Security wasn’t too bad. Lots of lanes open. Normal wait times, nothing excessive IMO

Proper NEXUS is back at YVR domestic! Separate entrance again. Line 1 wayyy to the left at C gates. Belts/shoes/light jackets stay on. Liquids remain in bags.
Unfortunately when I asked when it started (Monday) she did say it was unclear how long it would be open. Training? She didn't clarify.
** A/B gates looked painful. Lined up all the way back to C, whereas there were maybe 5 people for Priority/NEXUS

I didn't notice any training specific to our lane, but I did notice about 30-40 bags piled up on the belt thr next lane over that I assumed was for training (none going on at the time) ... maybe that's where the "missing" smaller checked bags end up.

So, I saw the various photos on the CBC, and in the Daily Hive, and it appears that security screening at YVR is possibly back to gong show mode, but for an entirely artificial reason.
Does anyone have recent first hand experience? Is it Priority DOM, General DOM, TB, INT, or all three?

Reports from yesterday were that TB was the worst.

Seems like its everything. Just came through Priority Dom. The concierge was nice enough to escort me through the masses to find it. It feeds into the regular line inside the doors. I was through in about 20 min. Nexus was moving very slowly and looked like at least 30 min, but maybe even 45. General Dom was a very long line - can't tell how long it was taking.

for transborder into US, do they split the passengers by nexus vs non nexus line?

And I'm not surprised about TB being worse. That security process is almost always slower when it's busy.

Definitely check in with the concierge. They were super helpful and prevented me from getting mired in the Nexus line.
