I just want a distinction with those having a green sticker and no NEXUS, since NEXUS will get you through during all operating hours, whereas having the green sticker without NEXUS won't.
No NEXUS

Given that staffing will not have changed by then, I would assume that you expect the same issues, depending on time of day. But it appears that you will have more luck if you have a Nexus card. Otherwise, get there early.

Not that we really know how accurate it is, but you can always check the CATSA site on the day. I'll be doing that when I wake up on the 12th, since I'm flying that morning.

Asked today as I wandered by ... C gate security (Nexus/priority) closes at 18:00 for foreseeable future. No clarity on when "future" is expected to terminate.

How early can you arrive for AC flights? I don't mind arriving 4.5 hours early if I get there at a time when the line is light. Can get lunch and use the lounge.

Mama SHF went through Domestic security today around 15:15.
A/B was operating as Regular only - 20 Minutes Wait
C as Priority/Nexus - Zero wait, agents were smacking flies

Depends if you have bags to check. But if you have lounge access, you should have priority lane access.

If you are taking one of the lunch-block (11:00-15:00) widebodies to YYZ, theres usually a short reprieve in the lines after 304 has left.
I can't guarantee the reprieve on weekends!

Just double check what are the widebodies schedule for YYZ/YUL that day. and work around that crowd.

I went through the YVR Pier C security at 06:00 am on Tuesday for an 08:00 flight, expecting a long queue for the morning rush. It was dead. Never seen it less busy. I noticed a group of about 6 or 7 CATSA folks huddled with a supervisor, looked like they may have been trainees.

My most recent time through they were training. Having experienced security screening in many other countries, I continue to be puzzled by the level of seeming incompetence in Canada. The CATSA agents spend a lot of time seemingly standing around and priority and NEXUS lines have silly rules that shouldnt apply especially if you are NEXUS. If you look at how TSA Precheck works in the US it is way more efficient. NEXUS passengers are supposed to be allowed to keep certain things on (according to signs) and these rules are rarely followed. There is an article in the Globe about the major airlines asking for these issues to be sorted. A lot of it is likely incompetent leadership with no idea what happens day to day (such as the Transport Minister).

Flying SEA-YVR-YYZ-LIS on Air Canada in J (except for SEA-YVR, which is single-class economy-only). What will be our connection experience in YVR? Just immigration? Both immigration and Security? We only have 1:17 for the connection, so any tips would be appreciated. We don’t have Nexus or any FF status, but are traveling in paid business class.

YVR C priority security today: pax having a meltdown about how many people are in front of her. Arguing with CATSA that there must be a "real priority" line and "all these people can't be priority". The wait time was under 10 minutes.

Went through C pier security this morning at 0745, took 7 minutes from bag drop to sitting in the lounge even including a random manual search by CATSA.

Any idea what non-priority looks like early morning? I certainly don't, but I have to drop someone off for an 8am flight Wednesday, and I don't want to base my timing on C gate expirences (mine or others).

Any recent experiences? Have things improved?

Flying internationally Monday evening. And then domestic a week after that.
