LAX - Restaurants
Hello,
Are there any restaurants on the "non-secure" side of the terminals in LAX? I know there are quite a few once you pass through security.
I've checked http://www.lawa.org/lax/laxframe.html but it doesn't say if the restaurants are secure or non-secure.
Thanks.

Lax restaurants
Encounter is one of my favorites. Love the view.
But you may also want to try The Proud Bird. It will require a 5-10 minute taxi ride. It sits adjacent to south set of runways at Aviation Blvd. Great view of the airport.
Another idea is a ride to to the Hughes Center (takes about 10 minutes by taxi). Mrs. Mach and I did this a couple years ago during a long layover.

You don't need a Taxi (if want save some money), you can Parking lot B bus for FREE, Pround Bird is next to lot B.
Also in International Terminal is The Daily Grille, a local full service cafe/restaurant is nice for traditional American, and I also like Sushi Boy, and the Ramen (Japanese noodles) place

Would have been disappointed to miss my flight, just to pop over to Encounters. Food while pricey, was surprisingly good for in-airport fare. Can't beat watching the flights.
