Yes. No.

(I asked Marriott via e-mail earlier. They replied in under and hour and said it was new sign-ups only, but I could take advantage of the triple miles at least if I switched my account to BA Miles not Marriott points. I declined. Shame about the answer, excellent response time though!).

Lack of provision for existing Marriott Rewards members suggests this is purely an attempt by Marriott to get new high value marketing targets. Poor show, I'd say. Haven't used my account for 12 months (since the Tesco partnership was 'revised') so now no chance of me using it. SPG have just status matched me to their highest level, which means I have a choice of 3 top status hotel chains, so no chance of Marriott joining them.

Same here about logging on.

I have just emailed them and asked them to merge the two accounts I now have, obviously keeping the Gold one. I'll let you know what they say.

Same problem. It doesn't recognize. Also you can't choose a password - which makes it even harder to make it work.

I got the e-mail, and only made Gold on Friday; so if you do they compiled the target list pretty quickly ...

Once the online account is set up I need to cancel a booking for I made about 30 minutes before the e-mail arrived! I can see early morning T5 departures combined with this offer may mean more business for the Marriott Slough/Windsor.

I just made HHonors Gold today, but next week the property is way overpriced, so Marriott have just given themselves a chance at my business for the next couple of months.
