Had a bit of free time today (plus my credit card is on a new billing cycle), so I decided to look into flights.

Lufty left me with the choice of good flight times at an extortionate fare or dirt-cheap flights at ungodly hours.

So I decided to check what BA had to offer me, and they came up with 250€ for EuroTraveller (there were cheaper flights, but the times wouldn't have worked for me) . I had almost resigned myself to breaking my vow to never fly RyanScare again (which would have been 70€ from Hahn to Stansted - I refuse to call either airport "Frankfurt" or "London", respectively) when I noticed those magic words on the payment page - "You can u***ade your booking to Club Europe for only 80€ return" or something to that effect.

So I've just pulled the trigger on my first-ever I fare, and am now confirmed for the Scooby Dooby DO, if MCS? will be kind enough to add me to the list!

My flight details:

23AUG2007 FRA-LHR BA903 11:20 - 12:00
24AUG2007 LCY-FRA BA8734 14:35 - 17:10

Staying at the Hoxton for a quid.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

MCS? won't take it personally that I told you I was coming for drinks a week ago and you haven't added me to the list!

Ok MCS? I'll forgive you just this once. Is there any type of cuisine that we don't have to translate for you?

I am prepared to be a possible in the wings (sorry Ms Rayner) as it is now looking increasingly unlikely that I will be abroad now

Unhappy

I'd love to go.... but mother service is moaning at me for "taking too much leave for little gaunts" and "why are you visiting 4 places in one day" discussions...

So I've got to stay in the office and play "Nice IT manager" (though taking down a server for "maintenance" may have to happen )

Have fun y'all...
