Arrow The SCOOBY DOOBY DO! (aka Midweek London) - Thursday 23 August

Hi All!

Following on from the success of previous London midweek DOs, and in light of the plethora of exciting DOs to come: Budapest, Islay, Cardiff, Sat Night London, I have the honour of inviting you to:

THE SCOOBY DOOBY DO!!

DATE:.......... Thursday 23 August
TIME: ...........5.30pm onwards
LOCATION: ....DRINKS: Slug & Lettuce, 80-82 Wardour Street, London.
......................DINNER: Wong Kei, 41-43 Wardour Street, London

We will start off at the Slug & Lettuce on Wardour Street at 6pm-ish, before heading off for dinner down the road (2 mins walk) at Wong Kei at about 8.45/9ish. Following my attempts to eat a curry at the last event, we will be heading for a Chinese dinner on this occasion!

Well you know I'm going to do my utmost to be with you for this one MCS? Put me down as highly probable

And, being a lover of Chinese and Oriental food I'll probably join you for din dins too!

Bummer. Lousy timings - I have not been able to make any of the dos so far as I am away yet again - on safari in South Africa this time instead of work at least.

May I suggest someone find a nice Sichuan Chinese Restaurant in Chinatown to introduce MCS? to.

Indian curry has nothing on a good spicy Sichuan dish.

By the way, when is the graduation ceremony? Will we get to see a picture of MCS? with cap and gown.

I think I can put in an appearance at this one. I'll be freshly tanned too from a fortnight of sun somewhere fabulous.

How about the Dorchester Bar, so those who travel in from the provinces can see how Londoners really live?

I am so flying to LA the next day, so you must promise not to get me too drunk!

Can I suggest Wong Kei's in Wardour Street; this has been a DO feature before - it is exceptionally inexpensive, has no trouble accommodating large groups without a reservation and personally I think the food rather good. It is also staggering distance from our usual All Bar One.

Shame you can't make it Ken. I suppose a photo might just make it to the DO!
