My Gold approval email came in this morning! Hopefully this means that those who applied April 9 or around then are finally getting processed.

Applied last Wednesday and status updated and email acknowledgement sent this morning, so they did it within
the 5 business days promised at the start, nice work.

Question - how do I get benefits for flights booked on AA? AA chat cannot add the BAEC # to my flight record or
profile without deleting the AA #. Can an agent manually handle a seat change to MCE, for example? Contact web support
to add the BAEC #?

For lounge access, I assume I can show the card via the BA app?

Thanks!

Applied on the afternoon of the 10th (Eastern U.S. Time). Received acknowledgement email on April 13th. This morning (Eastern U.S. Time) got approved for status match - United Gold to BA Silver.

Have already submitted for the status match !
Got my status match confirmation today, after applying on the 9th. I just let the process ride out, not confuse them by submitting multiple times.

Submitted my documentation around 2.30pm Central time today.

Received acknowledgement email at 5.45pm. Hoping things are speeding up after an initial surge of applications!

Got a trip to London coming up and will be happy to choose BA over UA with this status match!

Confirmation of gold status received this morning.

About to book my round trip to London for June which will secure the extended status (at least I think so!)

So if you get a match today and fly the two required flights, does your status expire in 2025 or 2026?

I would like to know that too! From my reading it is 2026 but I think it might be poorly written and they actually meant 2025.

As an aside - booked my TATL round trip after Gold status is showing on my profile but website still wants $151 for me to select a seat - is that a known issue or should it resolve itself?

It usually takes a couple of days for the system to recognize your new status, apparently.
