Hey all,

currently at MLE, returning to LHR on 15/04. Just got an email from BA saying the return flight (BA060) had been changed to a DAT flight.

seat map hasn’t changed and flight details showing as:

Aircraft type: 789
Flight number: BA0060

Depart: 11:00 Mon 15 Apr 2024
Duration: 11 hrs 00 mins

I can’t see them using either an A320 or the A321 for MLE to LHR, should I be concerned here?

any thoughts appreciated!

thanks for that, so looks like it’s still the 787-9.

might have to contact them to confirm what’s going on. Difficult from MLE to call (over £4 a minute yikes) but will figure something out

I wouldn't bother calling. It is clearly an error, and there is no way a A320 is going to MLE. I would just enjoy the remainder of your holiday

That substitution is clearly not happening.

Do you have a connecting flight it might relate to?

no connecting flight, but as above I think this is an error of some kind, an A320 isn’t suitable for this route!

You should only get worried if you see "Operated by Maleth Aero".

I did check the range on an A320, and google is throwing up around 3,300 miles, 2,000 short of the 5,300 mile distance of MLE to LHR. So unless they are going to do some military style mid air refueling I think it’s safe to say an A320 won’t show up!

Wonder if somebody's got confused between MLA and MLE.

Certainly looks updated compared to the previous video on YouTube where it looked very very tired. Seems to be the same as the A320 with the recaro.

OY-RUY a320

the Danish A320 got stuck on the ground in Athens for two hours this evening ... and only just landed back in Heathrow

she had a 23:03 landing at LHR on 11th April
