I’m scheduled to fly on a 321ceo out of T3 in early May. Whether that actually happens though….

interesting. i don't think pre covid the a321 (ceo or neo) ever used to be used for T3 flights for some reason.

Airbus A320 G-GATM, G-GATH and G-GATU now at Gatwick presumably ready for launch of BA Euroflyer tomorrow.
I think there must be more than 9 active 777s at Gatwick now as some days there are 10 departures and/or arrivals.
Is anyone able to confirm which other A320 are also at Gatwick?
There will need to be more than 10 in a few weeks time when Orlando goes double daily and New York returns. Mauritius also needs a 777 for 2 days for
a round trip 3 times a week. I estimate 11 to 12 may be required by the summer.

I heard that the reason why they are wetleasing aircraft from other operators is because they can’t reactivate the 321CEOs in time for the summer season?

Anyone know the process for taking a A321 out of long term storage?

TheMan123. I did read somewhere that the issue may be to do with crewing rather than return to service maintenance. I cannot confirm this though.

G-GATH / G-GATK & G-GATM have now positioned down to LGW ahead of tomorrow and G-GATU has just taken off from LHR. I'm not sure how many planes they need to service the initial destinations although IB Express may help share the load pretty early on.
G-YMMB jumped up to LHR this afternoon after LGW briefly went back to 10 B777's earlier today - so perhaps they are getting some light maintenance out of the way ahead of needing all the planes in service for the summer. G-VIIO will return to Gatwick in the next week or so from CWL and G-VIIW must be almost finished its heavy maintenance in Abu Dhabi which will provide another B777 to cover at LHR reducing the need to swap between LGW & LHR, although that might be a common theme until the final 4 LHR B772's are fitted out in Club Suite.

Three aircraft are needed for the 4 flights planned tomorrow for BA Euroflyer.
Aircraft 1 Gatwick to Larnaca and return G-GATM
Aircraft 2 Gatwick to Amsterdam and return .Gatwick to Paphos and return. G-GATK
Aircraft 3 Gatwick to Tenerife and return. Probably G-GATU or G-GATH

G-EUUC made its way back from Shannon this afternoon with a fresh coat of paint. I didn't see any aircraft fly to Shannon to take its place, but as per previous requests if anybody knows more please advise.
All thirty A319's are now active at Heathrow (the entire fleet) which is a very positive sign and 2yrs since all A319's were active in BA colours. A few A320NEO's seem to be in maintenance at LHR and we await G-XWBI's first revenue flight - hopefully later this week!

In Charleston, G-ZBLF had a 2hr test flight yesterday post extensive rework performed by Boeing, so we may see some activity on the B781 front in April, albeit out of registration order as the other aircraft have rework done, and hopefully BA's 12th A35K is delivered next month as well capping off 4 widebody deliveries in the space of a month.

Gatwick will need 10 777s today. I notice that G-YMMJ positioned from LHR this morning as the 10th and is now on its way to Islamabad from Gatwick.

A few updates for tonight as per the above postings:

G-YMMJ serving a LGW route (interesting they move a CS aircraft down when they could move a non-refurbished CW aircraft down to keep the CS roll out up for LHR flights!)
G-STBH is back at LHR with the new CS fitted having been swapped for G-STBA (no word if that aircraft is going in for a CS refit, but fingers crossed!). That means 6 out of 15 active B77W’s (excluding STBA) now have CS and new F fitted!
G-MIDY is back at LHR as of late tonight which leaves just 2 aircraft stored at LGW
G-XLEL is on its way back from Manila and if Flightradar24 is to be believed, is due to return to service tomorrow on the LHR - IAD route!
