The fare requires one "transfer" that goes through HEL (e.g., LHR-HEL). It allows other transfers without an extra free. Although it sounds generous, it is constrained by the routing map attached to the fare. So it is essentially just forcing you to go on AY via HEL. You will need access to a tool like ExpertFlyer to see the routing map.

Code:
/WITHIN THE EASTERN HEMISPHERE/
DOM ROUTE VALIDATION APPLIES WITHIN ORIG/DEST COUNTRIES
MAP CONSTRUCTED LEFT TO RIGHT AND RIGHT TO LEFT
1. LON-AY-HEL-AY-BKK
2. LON-AY-HEL-AY-HKG-CX/AY-BKK
.
(I believe the HKG-CX-BKK route is prevented by the Flight Application category of the AY fare.)

It is possible to route via HKG, albeit at higher price:

It could also be maximized at 880 TP's if SFO-LAX segments are added

You could book via BA on the phone or via a travel agency.

I'm not sure you actually can. The lines are so swamped. I'm on hold for 45 minutes and counting.

You could but you would need some advanced coding in ITA Matrix.

I just booked this. Over the extra QE2 bank holiday. 920 TP I believe? Plus 120 with positioning. Managed to get the BA agent to do it after a very long wait. Initially he couldn't make it work but offered to go away and look into it and came back with a result. IME The BA agents are a mixed bag but I was lucky enough to get a great one this time

The runs I have booked previously I have booked directly with BA over the phone. Can be a bit time-consuming but always got there in the end, and on occasion even cheaper than ITA Matrix Quotes (not by much) I think it depends on the exchange rate on the day, amongst other things.

The BCN fare is also available ex AGP - and you can enjoy AGP-HEL direct

6 x 140 TP segments ~ £1200

Thought I would have a play and see YMMV
