List of Lounges Currently OPEN to BA Passengers (open wiki for details)

This wiki includes details of open lounges accessible to premium (F/J or Gold/Silver) passengers travelling on BA operated services, either within the terminal BA depart from or accessible via airside transfer.

Other lounges may be accessible for passengers willing to transfer landside to other terminals or concourses, although this is generally not recommended due to time constraints as a result of needing to re-clear security. Additionally, some airports may offer pay-in lounges which are not otherwise accessible by BA premium passengers (either temporarily or permanently).

Most open lounges are operating with a limited food and beverage service, and other services may be unavailable or modified.

For opening hours, please check the oneworld lounge listing at https://www.oneworld.com/airport-lounges?location= which is now being regularly updated.

If your airport isn't listed below, this probably means there is no lounge available for BA premium passengers (either temporarily or permanently) - please check the oneworld listing for the most up-to-date information.

I would hope that summer will bring enough traffic to open the lounges. Last summer there was a fair amount of TATL traffic. I was on some some pretty busy flights myself.

Note that the AF lounge at JFK has never closed. At certain points through the pandemic AF closed and reopened the upstairs business class section of the JFK lounge, but it has never been completely closed. Too many VIP's/DYKWIA's on that route!

Im not so sure.. some JFKs have had 20-30 people on them in total. Whilst the travel ban continues from the UK, Eire and Schengen zones BA has lost a fair chunk of its passengers.

President Bidens address to the nation this week was positive but cautious hinting that if the country stays on track small gatherings will be allowed for July Fourth and that he would protect the country. That doesn’t strike me as yes we’re opening up again.. pure crystal ball territory and gone are the multiple high J 747s to JFK that need to be filled.

Oh I wasn't saying that the US would open up to everyone. But I did say that last summer TATL traffic was relatively busy. And again busy leading up to Christmas. I see no reason why this summer would not be the same, if not more thanks to vaccines. Even without non-essential business travel, there are enough people traveling to nearly fill up these jumbo jets at certain times.

Back to lounges, BA could look to either open JFK this summer or partner. AF chooses to keep their lounge open. KLM uses the Delta lounge at T4.

If people had been drinking Sainsbury’s purchases in large groups outside the shop then I imagine the response would have been different. But they haven’t, so it didn’t need to.
I appreciate your input @Confus - and I'm not denying that the previous policy led to issues and was actively exploited by some; I wouldn't advocate a return to that. I also very much understand the issue of enforcement and empathise with the policymakers and police in that respect.

However, as someone who has spent the last few months within walking distance of the centre of Newcastle, I can't agree with your comment that the new rules have "been a big success" in stopping groups congregating in public with alcohol (don't even get me started on the trials of the electric scooters and how they've encouraged groups to form...). Has it stopped certain bars offering mulled wine and cider by the Monument, and people congregating there? Sure. But pop down to the Quayside, Ouseburn or most parks on any day when it's not been snowing (and a few when it has) and you will see large groups of people socialising and drinking with bags of booze. It therefore feels like the current system is an ineffectual sledgehammer to crack a nut, harming restaurants in the process, and I wonder what other approaches might have been taken that would have had less collateral damage.

All of this is very off topic from the thread, so I'll leave it there!

To be fair, of all the ex-UK lounges, BA should have kept the JFK one open until they relocate from Terminal 7 to 8 in 2022. It is the only major ex-UK post where you can't use a different terminal's lounge (e.g. AA) as there is no airside transfer from 7 to 8 (AA). You can do the same at LAX or SFO, for example, and in fact, BA check-in staff will consistently advise you to do so.

Hi all.

I've only started flying Club with BA over the past few years, and MAN is my "home" airport. Saying that the only flights I have managed since Covid were from LHR.

I've got several flights lined up later this year, fingers crossed. A few from airports where there are no BA/OW lounges.

Referring to MAN, I take it there's no agreement to use the Aspire lounge for BA business passengers?

Welcome to FlyerTalk LancashireFlyer and to the BA forum in particular. I'm glad to see you here and hope you continue to join in the fun.

MAN is my main home airport too. Like others I am disappointed the lounge is no more, and feel for the great lounge team they had working there, many of whom I consider friends. We don't know at this stage what BA will offer at MAN in the future - if anything. At this time it's a case of 'watch this space'. I suspect they may offer access to one of the airport owned lounges, but we'll have to wait on that.

There is talk of a move to T2 at some point in the not too distant future, and with that talk a suggestion of a joint lounge for oneworld airlines. This is still a good while away, unfortunately.

I am (was!) a regular on the MAN shuttle so I hope I get to bump in to you at some point as we hop to and fro London. Welcome aboard

With GF being the only lounge open, are silvers allowed to use First Wing security to get to the lounge. Travelling HBO tomorrow in Y for reference.

Recently Club check-in in Zone H has been closed, with all lounge-eligible passengers using First Wing for check-in, security and access to the lounge. This is fairly new, and certainly temporary.

Given that the CCR had reopened just prior to the latest lockdown (despite low passenger numbers), are we anticipating it reopening again once the lockdown lifts, in line with their attempts to return to normal service offerings?

Or was that likely to have been a Christmas short term thing anyway, even had there not been another lockdown.

It was a specific Christmas response based on maths: at that point there were more First travellers than seats in CCT. Having said that I'm sure BA will prioritise CCR reopening just as soon as load factors allow. Which won't be this week or next.

While it is still crystal ball time, the U.S., on it's current vaccine trajectory, will be in a position to offer a jab to all adults who want one by August, so I think by late summer they may look to re-open certain travel corridors with equally low case countries, which hopefully will be the U.K. / Europe by then!

The US is on a much faster trajectory than that. More like end of May for all adults to be able to get one if they want one (maybe not second douses for all).
