I think that this has always been done from time to time at JFK (because of what has often been a clockface-type schedule there, in normal times). IIRC, it's a disambiguation thing: 20:01L = 00:01Z, which makes the day/date clear. Scheduling for either 00:00Z or 00:00L is more likely to cause misunderstandings.

BA will end flights to Bilbao on 25th March 2022. After that, Vueling will fly Gatwick to Bilbao and BACF London City to San Sebastian (July/Aug). The destination was launched in 2015, double daily from Heathrow, before moving to Gatwick in 2019. It then reverted back to Heathrow in 2020.

I will be honest, it seems an odd route to axe given that it is heavy on leisure and VFR traffic. A simple Fri + Sun service would have sufficed.

On a different topic - any thoughts on when BA might cement next winters LGW schedule? Looking at LPA for next November and no flights are coming up (not even Madrid transits) so I assume they are moving that route back to LGW, but wondering when flights might go on sale.

SeanM1997 is reporting that BA are dropping Heathrow to Lahore in February.

I guess with the rebound in US travel they want the 787 back doing TATL. This will leave Virgin with a monopoly on the route (until PIA returns).

Had BWI-LHR booked for April but was canclled today by BA and rebooked to IAD.

BWI seems to have dropped off the schedule again until about May, though next Christmas it is back to daily (I guess it is early still...)

got a cancellation for LHR-BSL today for 1/31. No longer any flights to BSL on BA
