L-1011 Tristar as ugly as it gets?

wandered across some random things about kai tak which led to the DC-10 and inevitably the tristar. you know how that happens.

anyhow, i never gave it much thought, but is the lockheed tristar one of the ugliest out there? and what was the BA history with it overall? sharp looking livery here though!

jazzhou and Great_circle like this.

Oh I think the Tristar is beautiful, especially compared to the DC10. Much more sleek and graceful

Better looking than a A380 in my opinion.

I don’t know if any comment on here has ever made me more angry, the Tristar is the most beautiful aircraft that has ever flown.

Yes, the w**nker tanker is not a looker. At least you don't have to look at it when sat inside

Unlike the DC10, the L1011 was a 'if the technology doesn't exist, we'll invent it' type of aircraft.

Good thing for the OP heretics are no longer burned at the stakes

The Tristar is beautiful, but beaten by the Super VC-10 and a couple of others in my opinion.

I loved the Tristar, brings back fond memories from living in Saudi before BCAL took over with the DC-10

We had the Dhahran Suite on the Tristar which was very popular with the Brits living in Saudi.

I think she's very attractive. I don't agree however that she's as attractive as the fast plane...
