Dear
We're looking forward to welcoming you on board your flight with us from London Heathrow to Glasgow on 25 August.
We wanted to let you know that we'll be making a change to the aircraft operating your flight. Your flight will no longer be operated by a Boeing 747.
We understand that, after speculation on aviation websites, some of our customers booked on BA1482 hoping to be part of our birthday celebration. We’ll happily offer a full refund to anyone who no longer wishes to travel.
You'll be able to view the timing changes to your flight at ba.com/mmb in the next 24 hours.
If you would like to make a change to your booking, please contact us.
If you booked through a travel agent, please contact them to make any changes.

spoke to Gold line earlier to check my Biz seats on the LHR-NCL-LHR . All main deck visible to them and put into row 17 J/B respectively. UD blocked out atm and First.
Movable feast going forward I’d say - I’m just looking forward to the experience of the day.

Or perhaps an A321. We still don't know what is going on here, there is nothing in the Mediacentre, BusinessTraveller or even VIP-bloggers (such as Gilbert). The ground staff in NCL are getting much of their information via Flyertalk. But there's no point allocating 3 x 747 unless something was up, maybe off-the-wall speculation is all part of the surprise.

The pressure group guy probably didn't know anything about it, until it was 'highlighted' by the journalist on the phone...

For anyone staying overnight on the 24th at the Doubletree Newcastle if you are looking to eat outside of the hotel the nearest pub is the Badger (used for an FT do a few years ago) about 10 minutes walk away or a short taxi ride would get you to the Blackbird in Ponteland whose building history goes back to 1388.
