Dear

We're looking forward to welcoming you on board your flight with us from London Heathrow to Glasgow on 25 August.

We wanted to let you know that we'll be making a change to the aircraft operating your flight. Your flight will no longer be operated by a Boeing 747.

We understand that, after speculation on aviation websites, some of our customers booked on BA1482 hoping to be part of our birthday celebration. We’ll happily offer a full refund to anyone who no longer wishes to travel.

You'll be able to view the timing changes to your flight at ba.com/mmb in the next 24 hours.

If you would like to make a change to your booking, please contact us.

If you booked through a travel agent, please contact them to make any changes.
On Sunday 25 Aug - the day of BAs 100th birthday - BA are operating these domestic rotations with 747s, reportedly the three heritage-liveried aircraft :

20.55.
I think i have made a bit of a mistake with the avios booking. Wanted to book two one-ways because I used Gold Priority Reward for the return (Y on outward) . But the phone agent somehow talked me into putting them both on the same booking.

Phone back and ask them to split the booking.
I suggest you make a booking for the doubletree now before it fills up.

Folks, some side-exchanges that weren’t of any relevance or interest to anyone coming to this thread to find out about the BA100 flights have been removed.

Have I got 24 hours for that? Got to be somewhere and haven't got time to sit on hold for ages right now.
i booked the DT with the flights - does that affect being able to split the booking?

What flight are you on btw?

I'm confused. You booked a GPR and the hotel together? I suspect if you have booked these they will have to be separate bookings.

GPR can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the flight. All other bookings are within 24 hours.

Due to the delay in booking I’m Y both ways. Better than nothing. Just hoping for PE seats to open on the Mid-J to NCL. Also positioning from MAD the night before so hopefully A350-1000 to London and then home on the A340-600.

Not to bad. 4 Wide-body flights.

I’m sure its the same for everyone but MMB not showing Economy. Just a fully blocked PE cabin. I do have some exit window seats selected after calling to book thanks to Silver but on the return NCL-LHR very single window seat is booked! The other to NCL just lots of blocked I can’t see in MMB. Who knows......

Just an extra thought - should we enter these flights into ba97.com?
I am in a similar position re NCL-LHR - I get fully blocked PE cabin and no choice of WT - no chance of a window seat now I suspect. Should I ring BAEC and see if they can allocate a seat (even a middle one next to the window seat). Missed the boat on seating but booked tickets yesterday as soon as released.

Why all the panic
Surely they will release a lot more seats in due course?
