Dear

We're looking forward to welcoming you on board your flight with us from London Heathrow to Glasgow on 25 August.

We wanted to let you know that we'll be making a change to the aircraft operating your flight. Your flight will no longer be operated by a Boeing 747.

We understand that, after speculation on aviation websites, some of our customers booked on BA1482 hoping to be part of our birthday celebration. We’ll happily offer a full refund to anyone who no longer wishes to travel.

You'll be able to view the timing changes to your flight at ba.com/mmb in the next 24 hours.

If you would like to make a change to your booking, please contact us.

If you booked through a travel agent, please contact them to make any changes.
On Sunday 25 Aug - the day of BAs 100th birthday - BA are operating these domestic rotations with 747s, reportedly the three heritage-liveried aircraft :

Remember you can do a fully refunded cancel in the first 24 hours after purchase, so you can buy something today and then have another look early tomorrow.
Thanks for that, I love how I can always get great advice here ^.

Also, do we expect to hear an official announcement soon from BA or will they keep this ‘quiet’ for now?

I'd pay to watch how they cope with BoB in ET on those flights.

Landor and Negus are both Mid-J; BOAC is Hi-J, correct ?

Why no EDI? Can’t it not handle a 744?

Yes. I got the NCL one B2B. I chose 31K as my seat, but when I want to change it, it shows the WT+ cabin.

I need to book a flight from MAN to MCO that day, VS would be the natural option for my travel department but wondering if I can swing it to get on board this somehow!

I used to work in BA shorthaul so I'm kind of disappointed I haven't caught G-EUPJ yet.

Hang on! I've been allocated 31K too - and I can only see WT+. On the phone to BA at the moment.

I'm on the GLA B2B. If anyone needs guesting I can get one into GF. Should be at LHR around 10 if the trains behave!

Edit: Maybe we can populate the WIKI with people travelling it on each flight?

Just off the phone to BAEC. The WT+ cabin is blocked off and will be opened up at some time in the future - when the WT bookings reach a certain point. The guy I spoke to just told me to keep checking availability every so often, but he couldn't do anything at the moment.

I'm doing the LHR-NCL-LHR b2b.

I'm b2b to NCL in J - haven't been given a seat yet, but the Seat Map shows me the F cabin as Lower Deck, and Upper Deck as expected.

Cant select a seat though.
