Dear
We're looking forward to welcoming you on board your flight with us from London Heathrow to Glasgow on 25 August.
We wanted to let you know that we'll be making a change to the aircraft operating your flight. Your flight will no longer be operated by a Boeing 747.
We understand that, after speculation on aviation websites, some of our customers booked on BA1482 hoping to be part of our birthday celebration. We’ll happily offer a full refund to anyone who no longer wishes to travel.
You'll be able to view the timing changes to your flight at ba.com/mmb in the next 24 hours.
If you would like to make a change to your booking, please contact us.
If you booked through a travel agent, please contact them to make any changes.

For same day, if you see anything under £100 all in I would take it; for next day, consider going back via LGW or LCY and £120 would be a good price. I doubt they have filled 6 jumbos in an hour, equally I have no doubts in BA's IT melting down under the strain. Remember you can do a fully refunded cancel in the first 24 hours after purchase, so you can buy something today and then have another look early tomorrow.
Also, do we expect to hear an official announcement soon from BA or will they keep this ‘quiet’ for now?

I need to book a flight from MAN to MCO that day, VS would be the natural option for my travel department but wondering if I can swing it to get on board this somehow!
I used to work in BA shorthaul so I'm kind of disappointed I haven't caught G-EUPJ yet.

I'm on the GLA B2B. If anyone needs guesting I can get one into GF. Should be at LHR around 10 if the trains behave!
Edit: Maybe we can populate the WIKI with people travelling it on each flight?

I'm b2b to NCL in J - haven't been given a seat yet, but the Seat Map shows me the F cabin as Lower Deck, and Upper Deck as expected.
Cant select a seat though.
