Venue thanks to gav0106 and his team at St Thomas’ Hospital. Food & Drink
There will be a sofa area and BBQ on the Terrace (as well as seating in the main room). details of food and drink to follow.
The hospital does take credit cards but not Amex due to the charges they impose.
All profits are re-invested into the Trust and the venue is being provided to us completely free of charge.
A trip review of the 2013 DO at the same venue: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trip-reports/1474200-ba-london-do-2013-a.html (though can't promise it'll be quite as extravagant)

I am in, Never been to an FT do so looking forward to it, especially as I will be missing the PHX one,
A more logistical question from someone who knows nothing about London or who only actually visits it's airports,
Which is the best airport to fly to / from ? I am coming down from GLA. I was thinking LCY in and LHR out?

That works quite nicely, especially if arriving in on the Friday (LCY is roughly 30 mins away on the tube from the event location). Do you know where you're staying already?

No idea on where I am staying yet, I have no hotel loyalty with anyone as I book my own so whatever is most convenient on hotels.com for me lol . We have an office on Canary Wharf though so I was perhaps planning to get the first flight down to City work in Canary Wharf till early afternoon / evening then head to the event. More flex that way I think, so if there is a pre-party I am in the right place lol

(I'd stay around central/Paddington for the hotel so its easier to slip out to LHR on the return)

I don't blame you re: LCY, I work close to it but avoid it at all costs; my enjoyment of flying should start at the airport!

I am currently trying to find a deal to go somewhere for the weekend after the do whilst I am in London deals are unusual as they are no longer competitive when you are coming from GLA but seeing as I am there anyway a nice beach somewhere to nurse my hangover will be nice haha
