You did read the article which said that the withdrawal was because the DM was withdrawing bulk sales, so this probably wasn’t BA’s decision? I expect BA would like as many free papers to hand out as they can get.

Out of interest, which military dictatorships ban the Daily Mail?

At least the Jersey Evening Post is available at JER after lunchtime. Now that IS a 'newspaper' to complain about

The SNP up here, you'll only find the Glasgow Daily Record in Holyrood

Bit elitist to state that you know everyone’s views and values on here.

What is it about the Daily Mail that every time it is mentioned on the forum, it is discussed/condemned with language that’s just as hateful, prejudicial and polarising as one would (allegedly) read in the publication itself ?

ISTBC, but I read steadman’s post as an irony joke on behalf of the standard discourse that is in this part of the forum.

If that is so then I am fine with that, athough the intent was not completely clear from how I saw it, I am also fine with people expressing their opinions, however I feel that it is overstepping the mark when you are claiming that everyone has the same opinion. For the record I have no real opinion on any of the papers as they all seem to give the same, objective, sports scores which is all I tend to read in them.

Even if you didn't get the irony of the comment, a flippant throwaway comment I might add because I seriously do not understand what is the benefit of having less choice of newspapers in a lounge,I cannot understand why you would extrapolate that I was acting like I knew everyone's views from that one line!

I was making the point that there must be a serious interest in the DM as it is constantly mentioned in this forum and there are probably more links to it than to any other on-line newspaper. It is relentless.

Ok fair point, I had obviously missed the original intent, time to move on I think. I agree there is no advantage of less choice.

Tend not to pay the Telegraph much notice other than enjoying the crossword on occasions. Dropping anything Mail related is excellent news as I find it a vile bile soaked comic that is best avoided.

The Guardian is changing format soon to a Times clone so that may become a more suitable piece of on-plane reading.
