I've just had work call me insane for the trip I have just finished for a weekend break.
DRW-BNE-PER-SYD-LHR-HEL-LHR-MCT 3 nights MCT-DOH-LHR-HEL-LHR-HKG-PER-DRW

This barely counts as 'leisure', but it was the furthest I've ever flown.

LHR-SFO-SYD-MEL, 3 days personal time for a funeral, then MEL-SYD-SFO, work for a week, then SFO-LHR.

LHR-SFO-SYD-MEL was in Y.

Totalling up the transit time, I spent in aircraft 41 hours (26 to get there, 14 back to SFO) to spend 72 hours in Melbourne.

For a weekend I did LHR-MAD-JNB, HLA-DUR-ADD-LHR. Not completely leisure, but I needed to get a South African entry stamp in my passport in order not to lose my residency permit.

I went to London for dinner from MEL earlier this year. Less than 24 hours landside. Oh, all in Y.

As part of a holiday to Alaska a few years ago:

ANC-SCC-BRW - arrived in the evening, went for a beach walk.
Stayed overnight in Utqiagvik (or Barrow, as it was known), visited the museum in the morning.
BRW-ANC - left in the morning, arrived back in Anchorage in the afternoon.

Total distance: 1555 miles.

Anyone would think I'm mad, but I'd recommend it: Anchorage is out of the way as it is, but popping into the Arctic for a night was an eye-opener. I was able to fly in a 737-400 Combi plane, too, something you don't get to do every day! (They stopped flying them altogether two years after I flew).

A couple of year's back I came up with the daft notion to gift my sister & brother-in-law their honeymoon. This led several months of ridiculous routings to earn AA RDM, chief among them:

ARN-LHR-LAX-HNL//HNL-DFW-NRT-CGK//CGK-NRT-DFW-MIA-NAS//NAS-MIA-LAX-HNL

All told that's 39,187 miles, for three nightstops.

Now I’ll be the first to admit I’m very partial to a Mildreds (I used to have it most weeks at least one day for lunch).

Mrs Moose is on a Hen do in Spain from tomorrow. I’ve not got much on at the weekend, but have noticed LHR-JFK-LHR availability in J leaving on Friday and returning Saturday evening.
Never done this sort of thing before but it’s half tempting! Quick trip to Katz, followed by a few beers at Nelson Blue Friday night, bit of shopping the next day have a wander around the park before heading back to JFK stopping for a spot of dinner on the way!

Does 20 minutes at Palma count if it was a TP run?
