I've got to redeeem a Lloyds upgrade voucher but have limited time to use it. Need somewhere to go for three days - Bermuda looks like a good bet.
However Santiago is available too and would be quite entertaining for a few days skiing. But it feels a bit ridiculous to head there for just three days.
It got me thinking, what's the furthest you've flown for the shortest amount of time. Back-to-backs in HNL and TP runs excluded!

I did a weekend in Dubai and TLV would do again as well but not any further unless it was an incredible first class deal on like the apartments or CX where the holiday is just the inflight experience

Not for leisure, but for business - I arrived at SYD (MAN-LHR-SIN-SYD) at 06:00 on a Monday morning and left for the UK that same afternoon.

Did a couple of good ones this year:
LX F to Montreal Saturday morning out Sunday night return
GA J/F to Jakarta Saturday evening out Tuesday morning return
Both were trips done for the flight, not the destination - although I really loved Montreal and had a great stay at the RC in Jakarta.
I didn't try to adjust my body clock at all on either occasion, so didn't find the travel to be too arduous

I don't win the internet for this one,
LHR-HND-LHR in WTP (unrefurb 772 both ways) for 6 days. On paper it was 6 but as the HND-LHR is early morning it was more like 5+.
Booked on a whim in a cafe one lunchtime as the fares were good and I had always wanted to go to Tokyo.

BDA has some of the most expensive hotels in the world, there isn't much in the way of competition over there. Maybe a short break is all that's affordable! SCL is a lot further, but being a 787 the impact on you is probably about the same as the 777-200 to BDA.
You probably want to minimise time zone differences (SCL is admittedly only one hour back from BDA, 5 hours from BST). Oman? Amman? Tel Aviv is also a good idea. Montral? New Orleans?
I've done NCL-CHC and back again with one night in NZ.

I have done:
- SEA-OAK/SEA-SFO day trips [1344 mi] to watch day baseball games
This was completely unintentional, but I'll be flying:
Sat departure, Wed return:
SIN-DOH-LCA-ARN-DOH-AKL-SYD-SIN [27,680 mi]
- Have an unscheduled mandatory meeting on Fri that's cutting into my vacay. I'll be on the next flight out (SIN-SYD-AKL) to continue with my vacation.

4 nights in CUR, starting OSL & going via MIA, courtesy of a Viking + avios redemption.
If the price is really right I don't mind to fly thousand miles even for just a weekend. But I really like also the travel part, so...
