Isn't it about time the CAA made a decision on this?

Getting mighty close to the aircraft being needed (or are they just a contingency that BA might not need to use if support for the strike is poor?)

I don't think it is necessarily a bad thing for the union that BA will be forced to draft in nine A321's from a middle eastern carrier complete with crews.

It shows its employees and the wider media that the strike is costing BA dearly - significantly more than the issues would cost to address with the union.

Union members will see that their work stoppage is hurting the airline and this may continue to strengthen their resolve.

Says a lot the BA management mentality though. The union and BA have agreed the pay deal, the main sticking point in this dispute now is the fact BA is treating those who went on strike differently to those who did not. Yet instead of simply treating everyone equally and move on from this, BA is prepared to spend millions of pounds wet leasing aircraft rather than treat it's staff as equals.
Why shouldn't they reward staff who remained loyal to the company? You can see why they'd want to send the message that it pays not to strike.

According to a post on airliners.net, the 9 A320s have been ferried to LHR and are there already now.

All have the old spec Qatar business product fitted but they will still be an improvement on the current BA Club Europe offering.

Look forward to seeing what routes they are allocated.

As LUX is T3 I doubt you will have one of them, I presume BA will want to keep them all in one place and avoid moving them around.
