BA have LHR-HEL-TLL in J/Y for about £235 return, yielding 200TPs and offering the possibility of a ride on the Finnair A350 or a blue & yellow Airbus (for a €130 surcharge). See also this thread for more details and discussion of the fare.

FAQ

Where to sit on the HEL-TLL-HEL legs?
If the flight is operated by an ATR-72, then at the back because boarding and disembarking is through stairs at the back of the plane. However, for more legroom the first row (which can be row 1 or 2 depending on the ATR) is the best choice. In HEL there will be a bus transfer, in TLL the plane will pull up at the gate and stairs are used to go one level up to the departures and arrivals area (same level).
Seatmaps for Finnair planes can be found here.

Row 1 on the E90 provides the best leg room.

Please note that this flight usually takes between 15 and 22 minutes. During the flight, a crew member walks through the cabin with a basket of chocolates. No drinks are served and the fasten seat belt sign usually remains on for the duration. No chocolates on the ATR72 flights, unfortunately.

Also note that overhead bin space on the ATR-72 is limited and you might be asked to put your luggage under the seat in front of you. They do not offer gate bag check in.

How to get to town?
Information on public transportation has been provided here (courtesy of Valgamaa).

Where to stay in Tallinn?
Information have been provided here.

Where to eat/drink in Tallinn?
Here, here and here

How much time do I need at TLL to go through security?
TLL airport is very small. With fasttrack you can be at the gate within 10 minutes. Boarding for the 6.10am flight is officially 5.30 or so, but it usually starts later than that. AY's ATR usually leaves from gate 5, the E90 left from gate 9. Anyways, it doesn't really matter where it leaves, because the airport is so small.

Do I get lounge access at TLL?
Yes, show your HEL-LHR boarding pass also to get access.
For directions, please use the TLL terminal map.

Do I get lounge access at HEL?
Yes, since your outbound to LHR is in Business Class. The Schengen Lounge for HEL-TLL is located near gates 23/24 (one level up, access with status), the non Schengen lounge between gates 35 and 36. For directions, please use the HEL terminal map.
There are reports of non-status passengers being granted access to the Schengen Lounge at HEL for the TLL bound flight if shown the J boarding pass from LHR to HEL.

TP/avios earnings?
If your ticket is issued by BA, you will earn full TP and avios (+tier bonus)
If your ticket is issued by AY, you will earn full TP and base avios (no tier bonus).
LHR-HEL will earn 80TP each way, HEL-TLL 20 TP each way.
Please use the calculator on BA.com to determine the exact amount of avios earned.

Is it possible to do a back to back (B2B) at TLL?
Yes. You disembark at the same level as departures are. Simply wait in the gate area until the flight is boarding.

When and where can I check in online?
Use the AY PNR to check in online 36h before your flight in the AY App and get a mobile boarding pass.

What time should I get to TLL airport
Slightly earlier than you'd think.

I'm 188cm, and that is exactly what happens. Hence why CE (except row 1) is a very poor product, I just settle for an emergency exit row - cheaper and better leg room!

I'll take your word for it as not sat in CE other than a bulkhead seat for a while, I do remember that conversely the AY319 did feel a lot less room in their row 1, but I can't speak for the other rows. And being 10 cm shorter, of which I'd guess half would be leg length, perhaps it does make a difference, I find exit row seats roomy too.

Awesome day in TLL, gorgeous weather! Sat right behind megaloman on the prop plane which felt rather bumpy taking off in the winds.

Got upgraded to a nice corner suite in the Hilton which was rather nice. Just a quick q, lounge lady said that gold members can have breakfast in the restaurant as well. Is that the case as I recall the rules seemed to be constantly changing? Thanks!

Sounds like you have all had a great weekend! Was it anyone's first time on the A350? If so, thoughts?

I was on the A350 Friday, albeit my 3rd time. It's a very nice experience, although you have to judge that in light of a 2.5 hour flight on a long haul aircraft. I know many on here rave about everything except Club World, but for me the slightly odd foot space on the Finnair A350 is somewhat annoying. The raisable armrest too, its straight whilst the seat is angled. But for someone who's spent a lifetime in economy I think all business class is great.
Reading through this I think I must have been on the flights with a couple of other FTers, no surprise given the popularity of the fare and destination, certainly I was on a windy hop from Helsinki to Tallinn on Friday, was that why we sat on the tarmac for 40 minutes or so before take off, I was dozing and missed announcements.

Hmm. That's my flight.
Unable to OLCI.

Guess I need to make a call cutting short this life-changing Executive Lounge breakfast.

Update:
Interesting. BA shows duplicate outbound record, and inbound cancelled.
I've split in two and become Schrödinger's air traveller - both in Tallinn and not in Tallinn.
On the phone to BA quantum-disentangling myself now.

Update 2: Booking fixed.

Would echo many of these points. Wonder how I would cope with the foot space on an overnight flight. IFE (or at least the cameras were great). Wifi did not work on the return and the food on the return was woeful. CC were fine but not wonderful although left us to serve ourselves on the outbound! Think they thought that was the easier option.

Altiough there are clear advantages over BA SH I think I would prefer the food and service on BA if not the leg room.

Glorious day in Tallinn. Outside on the TLL terrace with a beer and a herring salad. Very pleasant.

Also a fine night last night with @DaveNCL (so much pork at Porgu!), @megaloman and @navylad. Was excellent to meet you all.
