This thread is for opinions on the concept of Buy on Board, concerned with the rights or wrongs of the decision to introduce it.
An information thread exists for your questions, particularly if they are on factual matters, here:
Buy on board: Information guide for BA shorthaul economy services
There is a separate thread for experiences, anecdotes, reactions and related comments, which is to be found here:

Useful sub-links
chongcao posted a comparison of other oneworld airlines' BOB prices
Not happy about these changes?
If you have an existing booking, you may be able to complain and get 1000 Avios or cancel for free until 28 days before departure. BA's complaint form.
However, in November 2016, phone calls to BA indicated that "no refunds would be given as food & drinks were complimentary and not part of the T&C."

Interesting move taken at a time when other legacy carrier (Delta) is considering bringing free meals back....

Bit strange BA are opting to complicate things by selling a different champagne in Y to the one served in CE. Let's hope this isn't the return of Blue Top to CE.

There are a lot of different products on BoB compared to now. The coke, for example, is 330ml, whereas it's currently 150ml. Given that there are now going to be two completely separate products and cabins, it makes sense to properly separate the bars. Otherwise a thirsty CE cabin might drink all the BoB champagne thus reducing potential sales and profit from BA. We wouldn't want that now would we? Hopefully the crew at least will be empowered to sell CE pax the Y champers once the limited CE stock has run dry by row 2.

I will definitely be asking for Champers on my next CE flight so they better have some left as I will be sitting in the back of CE (no 1A for les bleus)
and not dare try to charge me for it from the BOB stock!

Nothing special but I think it's actually not that bad (I prefer it to the Henriot Brut which they now serve in GF/CW, that to me is borderline undrinkable although the Rose is a little better).
