2015 POUG rate tracker
Please add your own successful results to the follow list including the month/year when the POUG was offered to you.
POUGs are offered via BA.com and the App Manage My Booking via a distinctive banner. You cannot get a POUG by telephoning, however the service centres can complete a POUG which falls over mid transaction. They are offered on cash and Avios redemptions but typically not on complex routings, BA Holidays or travel agency bookings until OLCI stage. POUGs on Avios redemptions won't get you additional TPs/Avios, but they will on revenue tickets.

Short haul routes from LON to/from Europe

What this wiki does not show is what flights on what routes are more susceptible to poug being offered. I know there's a random factor at play perhaps, but does anyone have any info as to regular ones?

LHR-CDG £89 on a RFS fare. I am not going to take it as no extra TPs and already in the exit row.

Last night at OLCI, MLA to LGW 119 eur, from an HBO starting point costing c. 70 eur if memory serves. The return LGW to MLA leg had previously been offered at the 48hr mark. I took it as it's a long flight and it's barely £1 per TP and I'm addicted to these levels, but it looks like a full CE cabin as I'm in row 6.....

I don't have a specific insight, but some routes won't get POUGs, if they are new routes (operating less than 6 months, LCY excepting), and some are unlikely to get them (NCE springs to mind) simply because there's no trouble getting revenue CE. Most established routes appear to get POUGs, and if you look at the wiki above there aren't many places without any data.

Clearly if you travel off peak and on lightly loaded services you are in with a better chance. There were about 80 people on LPA to LHR yesterday, 45 in Club Europe! Originally the seat map gave 4 rows of CE, it ended with 12 rows.

But on the other hand I'm reasonably confident that on a random basis the flight and / or passengers are not offered POUGs purely to protect the CE product to some degree.

LHR-AMS and AMS-LHR on HBO fare next weekend, POUGs offered for £109 on each leg.

Not desperate for Tier points yet and the flight is that short I don't think £109 is worth it. More spending money in AMS for me

Can you UUA a ticket that's already been POUG'd?

something like LHR-YYZ Y ticket, POUG'd to WT+ then UUA'd to J for 20k?
