I think windowontheAside was looking for a few more specifics than that if you can. How many days and how much money are you prepared to invest? Do you have a min number of TPs you need to achieve? Or is it any TP run, however small or large, whatever the cost? As long as it's keeping the £/TP reasonably low?

Quick question to the TP experts...
I am just about to book a multi city trip to the US. Outbound fixed, but I'm thinking of dipping my toe in the TP maximising water for the in bound flight. I have a scheduled flight arriving into LAX T6 at 11:45 on a Saturday. I need to get back to the UK on Sunday. The obvious return is on the BA direct flight ex LAX to LHR at 15:50.
Can anyone suggest a route with a suitable connection on the east coast that would give the additional 210TP for an AA first ex LAX hop whilst still meeting an overnight to LHR? I'm struggling to find anything that connects...

Apologies for being vague. Thanks Billinghamn. I am prepared to invest 1 night if I have to but would prefer a complete turnaround. As you raised, I am looking for the longest run at the lowest £/TP. I have done the BRU-HNL run and as I am going to be in the US would like to pick up a nice run. Will do another HNL run in Jan so that I can try and hit the magic 5k TP mark before my renewal in Feb.
As a result - you really want to find the shortest distance flights you can with an F cabin. Probably heading to DFW and connecting on to somewhere local would be sensible. You can head to DFW/LAX/ORD on American for about the same distance.
As before - it's really about how many points you're looking for.

I've been doing DONEx fares optimised for QFF for years, so know some of the tricks - now that I've moved over to to BAEC, it's much the same principle, so it's not too hard. I believe I'll be able to get a 1800-2000TP run out of DONEx fares pretty much most of the time, although I'll publish some more ideas for those in the future.

I note however that there are cheap £39 HBO one ways to a whole host of destinations including AMS, BCN, FCO, GLA, etc. One of these and an Avois redemption on the other leg would set you back £56.50 for your 10 TPs.

You'll have to go out and re-clear security but others before you have done it and you will easily get round in plenty of time. There is a thread with some useful hints here.
Remember, when you think of domestic TP runs think of LBA!

LBA, LBA!! Serioulsy there is lots of availability of O class fares at close to the travel date which are the cheapest ones, and you can do a back-to-back there as well. Just buy two one way tickets. Remember, when you think of domestic TP runs think of LBA!
