Baked potato.... Yes. (Although usually overcooked)
Cheese.... Yes.
Baked beans ... Don't recall seeing them!

Ah - couldn't remember if we only had the parmentier potatoes now in the Flounge or not. Agree the cheese was there, but the baked beans are a clear necessity on the baked tattie They have them at breakfast time though so I guess they might be able to provide them? For the time I had available it was definitely the better choice this evening, nice and near the domestic A gates.

I can understand the admirals clubs being so terrible given that you can buy your way in cheaply but I expected more from the FS lounges. Dont get me wrong it was a step up but that doesn't take much.
Have you been to the BA Flounge at JFK? If so do you really think it is better?

Granted it is dark and dingy but I would argue that the galleries club lounge is better than both the first lounge and the flagship.

Then I would respectfully disagree. I like the FL it isn't exactly the VS Clubhouse but it is a pleasant enough place to spend time.

Are you talking about JFK which is what I think the post you were quoting is talking about?

In LHR I'd agree with what you said, but in JFK my favourite is the main BA Galleries Club. I've not yet tried the CCR in JFK but have heard good things.

Except that Galleries gets rammed to capacity at that peak time between 5.30 and 7.15 or so, IMHO.

The T5B lounge is Galleries Club. Champagne is on request in Galleries Club lounges - and has been since pretty much forever.

Did you stop in the CCR on the way?
Not this time ... Mrs has a broken toe and just wanted to get to the B gates and wait there. I don't drink shampoo and Mrs has only seen a F lounge these last few trips , so thanks for the tip that we need to ask for bubbles when in these lounges. We were more disappointed with the food situation TBH.And those ghastly glass jars to reach into with an oversized scoop just to pull out some nibbles - designed by an idiot.

And No doubt Messrs. Choo and Laboutin will be getting an email requesting a new line of footwear for the toe-impaired...
