Hmmm.... so the crazy itinerary I have been looking at for next month probably won't hold up. I can't book it for at least a week unless the client really gets their act together.

For that price you could, for instance, position to LUX and go to HNL and back (?)
My membership runs out 8 Feb - the day i fly to South America for the weekend, and not sure whether they will extend my membership a few weeks as i need 160 TP by time i do that routing

I was going to do a weekend in March in LA visiting friends with a TP run tagged onto it if i get no extension. Currently getting return ex-NCL in Y to LAX for on Weds, returning Monday night for 550 GBP, so reckon i could easy do silver that weekend for about 1300 GBP with a weekend in LAX...

Can't see them extending by that much to be honest. A few days perhaps unless there's some sort of natural disaster that causes a lot problems like an Icelandic volcano.

There are quite a lot of people who have had it extended up to 14 days, which I believe is the maximum extension provided.

Personally I'd do an overnight in SJU just because it's a nice place. I think certain itineraries do allow a same day turn, though.

Try jigging your routing to include LAX or SFO (LAS-LAX-MIA-SJU) for an extra 120TPs.

Different airport I know, but this happens at EDI from time-to-time too - most of the time you arrive back into the main airside concourse (handy if you want to nip into Dixons you make use of an Amex deal, etc.!), but very occasionally you'll end up downstairs and come in through UK/Ireland arrivals straight into the baggage hall.

Took the precaution of paying for a 30 day Admiral's club pass in case of IRROPS, but it looks OK at the moment.

Sofitel at Redwood City ( booked via Hotwire ) are looking after my hold luggage, so I have only hand luggage. Transfers for the price of a tip.

Missed the final connection of my KUP SFO - SJU return trip after delay on flight 287 MIA - LAX.

American paid for a night at the Holiday Inn LAX with meal vouchers and then booked me from LAX to SFO in first class on the first plane the next morning.

YMMV - Bill

Nice
Does mean you lose a day somewhere else or it could screw up plans if for example you had a flight to LHR that night.

I am currently on the return MCO-LAX leg of my TP run to SJU. I paid $820USD for this 740TP run. LAS-LAX-MCO-MIA-SJU (A/A/A/I) same route back. The weather is so nice, I hated leaving this morning! It's worth staying a day if you have the time. PM me for hotel recs.
