(I suppose it's not going to be fully loaded as it'll have an all-J config...but LGW-HKG must be right on the limit of an A332s range).

Its not all that different to Heathrow to be honest with you:

LGW 08R/26L 3,316
LHR 09R/27L 3,660
LHR 09L/27R 3,901

So i cant see it having all that much in the way of problems

VN are due to start services soon and im unsure if thats going to be on an A332 or the 772, they have 10 of each in service so i would guess that we will see the 332 on the route at some stage

Of course HK Airlines will undercut the carriers you mention. It'll probably price in line with what the likes of EK, EY and Qr charge for their indirect services.

The A330 ought to cope with LGW-HKG non-stop. After all, Vietnam Air will be operating a similar plane type for its non-stops ex-LGW to Saigon and Hanoi which start next month.

It's on sale right now.

I posted in on the 9th and I was told the airline was "Surprised" that it's on sale already.

Interesting to see.

I took a look at the seat map. It looks like they will be using the same J seats as EK on the 380 in the front cabin.

Changing the subject, who remembers Oasis Hong Kong?

If flights are on sale (the expected on sale date was next month) then the prices will be available. I wonder how much HK Airlines will charge ?

I wonder if passengers will be willing to pay a premium for the 'club' experience of this product...

I do not see why this product should necessarily be especially cheap, at least in the long run if and when they become established.
