The latest version (2010) of the First cabin (termed "Prime" internally by British Airways, or "New First") is available on all 4-class 777s and all 747s.
An newer evolution (2013) of the First seat (Prime+) is found on all A380s, and a newer version still (2015) is available on all 787-9s.
The older version of the First cabin (termed "Classic" internally by British Airways, or "Old First") has now been withdrawn.
747 information updated to 31 March 2016. Last change: withdrawal of G-BNLF, the last OF aircraft

I did take a photo of the 747 New First Cabin the other day on the BA 155 LHR/CAI, but honestly don't know how to post it on this forum. I will try and work it out, otherwise if anyone has a suggestion that would be great.
Cheers

The A (-200, -300), B (-200IGW/ER, -300ER) and C (-200LR) markets are internal Boeing terms...

Returning to our exercise of tracking aircraft; I have it on very good authority seven aircraft are now fitted with the new seats, 2 x 744 and 5 x 777.
The registrations are
Boeing 777-236 IGW ()
G-VIIU, G-VIIV, G-VIIW, G-VIIY, G-VIIZ
Boeing 747-436
G-CIVF, G-CIVG
There is one more 777 due in for conversion in July (although i do not know if this candidate refers to G-STBA or an aircraft from the existing fleet) and then break until October. The plan is for all aircraft to be fitted by June 2011.
The 744s and 777s will be upgraded in no apparent order except the 777s with GMIS will be the last to be fitted, so they will go from the worst to the best IFE systems.

I did wonder why there are differing designators. Ta very much for explaining.

I've got a horrible feeling that the BA189 on 5 Aug is going to be one of those. Got an open jaw Amex 241 redemption (coming back from IAD) -and before anyone starts, I KNOW that it's not a good use of miles, but work commitments unfortunately dictate that my OH and I only have a five day window in which to get away! This is actually going to be my first BA flight since I abandoned them mid-strike after a totally unacceptable F flight (and I used to take them almost every week). Anyway, hoping to be switching back to BA after this date, but am holding off bookings until I know that the Industrial Relations are sorted.
In honour of the fact I'll be back with BA, because I'll be staying at the new IC Times Square, and because I think that I've taken a lot from FT over the years, I'm going to do a TR, much to my OH's annoyance and disbelief.
Now back on topic...I haven't yet been in new F, but from what I've seen, it does look like an improvement. Having said that, I always felt very comfortable in the current F cabin. The key for me is having the space and the flexibility to dine when I want to. (The TPs and miles are also nice...)
Not looking forward to a non-AVOD flight.
One question. And I know this is asking everyone to look into their crystal ball...am I best sticking with my return on BA292 (772) on the 9th August, or should I switch to the BA216 (744). I know that I'm very unlikely to get New F, but can anyone spot any patterns. From what I can see, it looks like the aircraft are deployed totally randomly.

I checked the data sources and (even though flight24.com does not tell this), ACARS records show a return from CWL on 1 July.
The next update of ftdashboard will include this. Thank you, Prospero, for pointing out.
