This gives the lounges options available for BA passengers departing from LHR T3. If you flight is departing from T3 you will not have access to the T5 lounges - including Concorde Room - since you must have a same-day T5 boarding pass to get airside in T5. If your flight is from T3, then you need to use the T3 lounges, your boarding pass will not work in T5. As it happens there is a good range of lounges available in T3, details below.

For breakfast options for BA Gold / Emerald / First travellers, there is a photo guide in post 291, click here. Note the Qantas lounge opens at 06:00 hrs Monday to Saturday, and 08:00 hrs on Sunday.

Latest menu from Cathay 1st. I didnt eat and still find the lounge soulless and cramped and I know it gets a good write up on here!

But then it would be boring if we all had the same tastes.

And latest BA 1st QR code menu:

Buffet no different to T5.

i didnt realise the bathrooms were so bad in the BA lounge at T3 even worse than T5 imo.

It is obviously boiled in an excess of water and pretty poor quality rice in the first place. It's like something from VESTA in the 1970s.
Is this what the British public are used to and prefer?
The pies and stew are nice, but the veg also suffers from 'Anglais' boiled until dead.
Just a few tiny inexpensive touches would transform their offering

I'd utterly forgotten they have QR in BA at T3. I've not been for so long, but am there early tomorrow. Sure it'll be breakfast fare but if I recall it's the one way to get an actual egg in that lounge, rather than at the buffet.

Am I right the Qantas lounge doesn't really get going for food until closer to the noonish flight to Perth, but they still have buffet and drinks early on? I'm tempted to do my one and only crawl before I lose Gold.

QR is based at T4 no?

Qantas lounge downstairs dining opens typically approx 2.5h before Perth flight. Upstairs including bar/buffet (mixed reviews) open from 6am

OP is referring to QR code ordering in the BA T3 lounge.

Thanks for that, very helpful.

And I meant the QR codes on the tables and ordering food etc in the BA lounge; saw it in the photo above and it reminded me.

I am booked onto the JL042 next week (08:35 departure to Tokyo) and hoping to do a T3 lounge tour from 6am - although I probably won't bother with the BA ones as I only have T5 departures over the next 3 months. When I last used T3, I didn't feel the need to leave the CX lounges because the standard is high.

I tried the BA Beefburger in the summer and I couldnt believe how bad it was. I passed through yesterday afternoon and tried again. Its still awful, and I left it.
How BA can serve such poor quality food in a first class lounge is beyond me. Thankfully I was able to claim asylum in CX.

Is it 100% Aberdeen Angus Beef or sub prime supermarket frozen jobbie ?

Perhaps they should get Five Guys in ?

Its a no-frills unbranded econoburger from a dodgy late night takeaway. Overcooked from a deep frozen state.

Wendy food is as bad as this BAs claim to provide a luxury experience to F pax is a bit of a whoppa
