Flight not showing
Hi
I was slowly working my way through a redemption booking to Vail via Denver and San Francisco with the icc, when for one flight between Denver and San Francisco on my way back on the 20th Feb 2010 the agent said that he was unable to book this particular flight as it wasn't showing yet. All of the other five flights were available but this one whch is the crucial link to getting home he couldn't do. He advised me that i would need to ring up every 2 days to check on this flight. Is this correct? the flight is showing up on the ANA tool and it is in only 6 months time. Is there any reason why this flight is a problem and all the others are ok. Would the fact that the vail to Denver flight is economy and then this flight will be business class anything to do with it. He advised against booking all the other flights, until this one reappeared as they would not all be on the same reseveration. Any advice would be gratefully received otherwise it is ringing them up every two days to go through the whole process again. |
Best advice is to phone back to try a different agent. I would suspect that it's either an agent specific problem or as you suggest, they are looking for a business seat on an economy-only flight.
They may have said call back every two days but that number is just plucked out of the sky. Ring back as soon as you can but speak to a different agent. |
Hi
I have tried several agents and have even looked at alternative flights but every one says that the denver flight(regardless to Chicago or San Francisco) is not available at present. I have now booked the first half of the trip but will keep ringing the icc to try to book the return leg. |

Would the fact that the vail to Denver flight is economy and then this flight will be business class anything to do with it. Remember that what the rest of the world thinks of as "business" seats typically get called "first" on a two-class flight within N. America -- but become "business" again if there are slightly better seats further forward. Is it possible that the agents you spoke to have been looking in vain for "first" inventory on a three-class flight? If you've not already done so, I'd suggest checking to see what equipment is scheduled to operate the flight you want and then making absolutely sure that the ICC agent is looking for "domestic business" or "domestic first" as appropriate. Good luck! |

LHR-SFO [...] F on UA. [...]
SFO-RNO 3 x Y on UA [...] An interesting one this. I tried booking the sectors one at a time but when it came to the domestic leg, it was coming up as waitlisted. The agent then checked the sectors as a single itinerary and the domestic leg was then accessible - go figure. |
Here would be exactly how the ICC agent sees the availability on their screen:
Code:
** BMI - AD ** SFO SAN FRANCISCO.USCA 149 SA 20FEB 0000 |
Hi
Have just got off the phone having booked a return leg from Denver to Lax and then through to London all in business class for the three of us. Only small problem was that the connection between vail and Denver has disappeared, not too much of a problem as there are coach transfers between the resort and the airport on a regular basis. Just need to tell the wife and find some where to stay. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions, most appreciated. |

I wonder if Tiger_lily's experience, as reported here, might be relevant:
Maybe you could, er, encourage the ICC agent to try looking in different ways? Good luck! Whether it was actually married segments or not I have no idea but they managed to do it in the end. It sounds like andypart got some duff agents who weren't prepared to go the extra mile. |

Expert Flyer help required
Hi all, I have been using the ANA site to check availability but even though it shows seats in BUS or FIR the ICC states no avail or 'wait list'. I have been trying for a couple of weeks now to book the following:
7th or 8th Dec - NRT - BKK (TG showing Fir availability) 12th or 13th Dec - BKK to CPH (Would like to see if there is LX availability in First). Alternatively BUS availability on TG or LX Would it be possible for someone with Expert Flyer or some BMI insider tool ;) to see what could be possible on these legs? Thanks in advance |
Need some help checking availability for Zurich to Bangkok with LX on either 1st or 2nd November, returning 14th or 15th November.
Thanks in advance... |

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/star-...g-classes.html Award booking classes are: O = First Class I = Business Class X = Economy Class The number which follows the booking class letter is the number of seats available . |
