Options are not great to put it mildly, according to the ANA tool. Singapore Airlines shenanigans being one of, if not the major, culprit! LHR to NAN
Thanks for people's help with my LHR to NAN question. Basically, I'm looking to book a honeymoon, with the destination being kept secret from my fiancée until the wedding day. I'm a traditionalist!
Anyway, I've upped my destination miles to 120k by buying some, but that's still not enough to do a miles & cash for business class from LHR to NAN. I've registered a DC account for my fiancee to get her the 5k sign-up miles (which were posted immediately!). If I buy some miles for her account too to take her up to 29k, I'm in spitting distance of having the 75k miles each that are req'd. So... a couple of questions:

Depending on what option you go for you have either enough or almost enough miles.
Business Class Zone 1 to Zone 3 requires 135,000 miles (45,000 * 1,5 * 2) for the two of you while Business Class Miles & Cash would come at 75,000 (25,000 * 1,5 * 2) plus 420 GBP (140 * 1,5 * 2). Don't just phone - you are likely to be told there is no availability even if there is. Read the Sticky at the top and sign up for ANA then call the ICC once you have confirmed what seats are available. There is nothing in business showing available currently so you may have to use staralliance.com and hunt for routing options then check them in ANA |

Try your best to snag 2 x C on NZ LHR to LAX then a connecting flight to LAS in F on UA or US (not sure about CO routing yet). A connecting domestic flight to LHR then the NZ flight then the segment to LAS will cost you 18,750 miles in C each way per pax miles & cash of roughly £600 each round trip for the best flights available for the miles and cash. Book as 2 x one way to give flexibility in changes. Total miles used = 75,000 for both of you i.e. 18750 x 4. Another option is to get a flight to Zurich then LX F to LAX, experience the F lounge and great service of swiss. More miles but worth it for a special treat. Definately read the stickies before you do anything else, lots of tips and experience, its worth spending a night researching ^ |
