Good morning all.

I have made a DC redemption that involves a flight with UA. At the moment part of that journey is in Y, based on experience, is UA one of those airlines that may release some C tickets nearer the departure date? For information the route in question is EZE-IAD in November.

Couldn't set up membership to ANA

The registration for ANA would not accept my passport name for some reason. I used my first and middle name with no spaces and then my last name which is my maiden name and married last name with no spaces.

Was about to book a flight that ANA was showing as available a few days ago but now is not. Is there any chance that might not be accurate or that KVS would show it up as potentially available?

Its for 2pax on CDG - BKK on 24/03/12 in First if anyone can check.

It seems that you have some "super powers", so could you kindly check a specific flight for me, where KVS (ANA & AC method) shows award availability in business class, but ICC tells me there's only a seat in economy. I tried to call back several times, tried to book it segment by segment and even tried just to book it as single flight (although it is part of an route including other flights which are available). So the flight would be:

Nov. 16 SQ 490 SIN-IST in C

Finding availability on VS?

Hi all,

I just tried to use ANA to search Virgin Atlantic (found it under the "use a single airline" link, as advertized). Unfortunately, on all the dates I tried it would only give "RQ" rather than an actual full vs. available notification.

Is this normal, or can I expect to eventually get actual availability info if I try enough times? If not, what are the other ways to search for VS availability? (I don't have KVS or Expert Flyer, but if those are the only ways to search I'll probably sign up for one of them.)

(Yes, I know that VS is not "the best" use of DC miles, but I have more than enough for Upper Class and would like to try their lounges, not to mention that they are the only way I can use my DC miles to fly JFK-LHR nonstop and that I would rather use what I have in the limited time available rather than gamble on an Avios conversion.)

I think the done thing is do sign up to VS Flying Club and search using their own tool.
