I was a BW Diamond member yesterday.
I emailed them them with a status match request as I have Spire Elite Status with IHG.
I received a reply within 4 hours and today I am BW Diamond Select. ^^^

FYI: signed up as AMEX has a sync offer of 2000 MR points on any stay of $100 (net after taxes/fees)

I simply sent an email to BW to request the match. No proof was required, though they did email me back, asking me to verify my mailing address, before upgrading me to Diamond Select.

Just matched from IHG Spire Elite to Diamond Select. Not sure if it will provide me with any real in-hotel benefits as the hotel I'm staying at is rubbish, but I have little choice due to severe budget constraints.The extra points may come in handy one day.

In Europe, they at least know about the program and the benefits they are supposed to provide... Got some extra points, but still waiting for my first upgrade...

Data Point- Asked for status match last week from Hilton Diamond and got Diamond Select at BW. Very painless process, all over email and same day. They didn’t ask but I gave them my digital card as proof. Not expecting miracles, but maybe good room allocation.
