Received: Ford Explorer, wanted an F-150 but they were gone so I walked the return lanes, spotted the Explorer and the great Preferred Agent said "sure no problem, give us 5 minutes to process and clean". ^
Nice! Never tried that one.

Received: Obnoxiously ginormous Jeep Commander that got 7 gallons to the mile and with 30k miles on the clock...

Not sure who I pissed off to get stuck with that crapbox, but the line was too long at the preferred desk to bother changing it out. Much happier with the slightly worn, but much more sprightly Mercury Milan I got a couple of days later in BNA.

Received: Chevy Traverse. Didn't want that so I exchanged it for an Lincoln MKT. Full-loaded, but kind of drives like a mini-van with AWD.

Better than upgrade

Received: Expedition. Hated it. Switched to Jeep Wrangler, which has soft top. So that's an upgrade to a convertible in Florida, right?

(If you said Yes, you've obviously never "lowered" and "raised" the top on a Jeep.)

Left the top down for the 3-day rental and loved it!

Rxed: G37x with 22K on the clock. No nav, XM or anything, but still a nice car for a work trip down to SoCal...

I origionally wrote a report that I didn't like the 37x that much, but after having it this trip for longer it is growing on me.

SLC, UTAH president's week.

Entire SUV (4-wheel drive) lot sold out (people were turned away while we waited). My 6 year old charmed the lady at the counter to upgrade us from economy SUV (could barely fit the bags) to premium SUV (7-seater). The Avis lady quote "You are too cute .. shouldn't be doing this, but you have such wonderful manners. Made his momma proud..

Received: Buick LaCrosse - Loaded!

I was more impressed with this car than I have been with the CTS or the BMW 325

Do you know how the G25 compares with the G37? I am wondering if the power fall off is noticeable, and also whether the installed equipment difference is notable?

I have rented the 2010 LaCrosse three times now, one FULLY LOADED, including GPS pre-installed, and I loved it all three times! I also like the Cadillac CTS plenty, and I like the Hyundai Genesis a lot (have not had a BMW of any type, anywhere, curious where that car is available), but I would certainly take the LaCrosse just about anytime. My only reservation with the LaCrosse is that in the 4 cylinder version, it is a bit under powered. For city driving, this is not really a big issue, but it is an issue if highway driving over 30 miles or so is required.

Hi Andy, The LaCrosse I had was a 6cyl and I actually had to look under the hood to see if it was an 8cyl. Also, the BMW was in PHX.
