Received: Chrysler 300 Touring "Special Edition"
Mileage: ~14,000 mi
Another "Special Edition" 300 Touring in my spot. Funny thing was I thought it was the same car I rented last week in ICT but it wasn't. This one had a few more bells and whistles like a sunroof and heated seats. My personal favorite was the built in Navagation that actually still had the CD/DVD still in it.
One thing that irked me though was when I first asked to change the car, before I knew the Navagation CD was in it, the shift manager said that there were only two other cars available for me to switch to, both which were smaller. She said that the DTS's were for Chairman only and reservations only, which I do understand and the Town Cars were for reservations and President's Club only....... Last time I checked, I was President's Club so.....? Oh well, the 300 is working out better anyway.

Once again another 300 touring. The genetleman at the Prefered Desk had a good point when I asked to change cars...."I don't really have anything else except for six Lincolns but I am sure you don't want those...." Well I can't argue with that!

Food For Thought
If you happen to rent from the off-airport locations surrounding New York City (paartcularly Manhattan) , you do not have to be preferred or anything to receive a free upgrade in the summertime.
Besides the fact that preferred service does not apply there and means absolutely NOTHING to them if you say you are a member, all regulars know that all you have to do is book a small car and pick up say between 10 and 1pm, and 9 times out of 10 you will be receiving an upgrade 2-4 times bigger than what you requested. Of course, if you do not like this, you can always give up your van or SUV and wait for the next available returning CAR....

First Avis Preferred experience...was very impressed overall. The visit to the counter was unexpected but mercifully brief. Definitely appreciated the upgrade, though the car was essentially a two-seater - don't know what I would have done if I'd needed more room.

3 days - very nice truck actually - leather, sunroof, etc....was very surprised to get it.
Location: PHL
Reserved: Intermediate
Received: Sonata with 25,000 miles on it
What a piece of junk...stains all over it, a tire that leaked - terrible service on the return - brake rotors super warped - is the lot always packed on a Monday evening? There were cars EVERYWHERE...couldn't get in to return. Bus took forever to pick up...ended up just walking back to terminal on the return.

Received: Grand Marquis, 9k miles
Not a bad ride, really.

Have never driven one yet but have heard good things. Is this an upgrade? Even if it's not I'll take it to see what the 300M fuss is all about.

1st time with the 300 (see above post) - Quite nice - drives a little like a boat, though. Not sure if I'll take another. Still, very nice.

Received: Buick Lucerne CXS (The one with the bigger motor)
Mileage: ~2500 mi
Its been awhile since I have rented a Lucerne and this one seemed quicker then normal. After I got out, I noticed they gave me one with the 4.6L motor vs the 3.8L
In terms of horse power differnce, the one I have has ~75hp more than the standard motor. It scooted along really nicely on the way up to Greenville.
