...anyne know what the E027237 code requires, who its for, if you have to show ID? I plugged it into my NC planned rental, and yes the cut in rates is DRAMATICALLY better than any other code I've tried.

A686200 Better than Costco

Confirming you it works as of 7/2/14

P786700 - New South Whales Government rate
P682402 - Queensland Government rate - Australia

I haven't seen any posting about experiences with these rates for many years now.

Has anyone used them successfully (or unsuccessfully) recently? The rate is more than half off any other rate I've used.

If I do use these AWDs, any additional red flags making the reservation a US resident?

Thanks!

these codes are great - anyone used them successfully?

I'm renting for 8 days from YYZ and the best combo I can come up with is A108300 w/ MUWA028. I tried A686200 but it didn't beat it, perhaps it's better for weekend rentals? I figure my rental is short enough I shouldn't need to break it up to achieve a slightly better rate. Better suggestions welcome :)

How much better was MUWA028 and A108300 vs A686200

MUWA is 5+ days

All my rentals are 3 days unfortunately.

This looks like the best. I am trying to do a 2 week / 4 week / Monthly rental.

Do you suggest something else/ better than this for the above rental?

It wasn't major, $80 for the full size & $116 for the premium. I'm renting again at the end of the month for a weekend and I'll give the A686200 a go again!
Cheers

Time was running short so I didn't spend too much time trying AWD codes & coupon combos. I don't have anything better for that length of time but I know there are promos and/or codes for that.

Remember to also keep checking to see if there's a lower rate now at Avis.com, after you've booked.

I've twice now modified a week-long ORD rental for next week, where I got $850ish all-in (on a compact) when I first made it 2 weeks ago, then I was able to get it down to $700ish all-in (on an intermediate) 2 days ago, and then today I was able to get it down to $600ish all-in (on an intermediate).

I've noticed this pattern (tho not always with this precise timing) over and over at avis.com with reservations I made more than two weeks out: Sometime during the last two weeks, sometimes multiple times within the last two weeks, rates will suddenly drop (one some car types, not necessarily all of them), but sometimes only very temporarily, so it pays to check daily if you can.

And if it drops on the same car type you already have, and you can't get the new rate to stick, change to a different car type, confirm, then change back to your intended car type, confirm. (Avis.com has trouble sometimes confirming a change of price only but nothing else.)

I wasn't changing AWDs. I was just clicking "change car type" each day to see if any cars (that I considered acceptable) had lower prices than what I already had.

Here's a list of AWD numbers that work and the discounts I got when I tried them. I tried to identify the program associated with the AWD but was not able to every time.

You should really only use these codes if you can prove you are eligible for the discount. Loyalty and reward programs are really cracking down on this sort of thing. PM me for more information.

Hope this works. . .

OK, made the reservation for Europe using E027237. I'll let the forum know what happens. . .

My back-up plan? The list above!

Thanks flightexpert!

flightexpert Jul 10, 2014 8:18 pm

Sure thing, DocDad. Glad to help out.

TennisNoob Jul 10, 2014 10:09 pm

Wow Flightexpert that is one heck of a list :)
Thanks!

Do they even check if you use the other codes that you supposedly don't qualify for?

I know they don't check for Costco because looks like the discount is too low.

trayanh99 Jul 10, 2014 10:45 pm

Anyone used A515100 safely recently?

You probably don't need to go through all the trouble. Depending on what company you reserve with, you can submit the reservation to autoslash.com for tracking. In a way, its like using expertflyer.com to constantly check for airline class availability.
