Rental terms including rates for AWD A113400 State of Florida

Do not know what year this is from, just thought it might interest someone.

When Avis says unlimited mileage on their website, are they actually "unlimited"? or are there certain restrictions like staying in state?

I haven't ever pushed the mileage envelope with Avis, but as far as I know, all rentals come with unlimited miles. You can cross state lines and they even let you take the car to Canada.

Avis rental terms

my favorite part:

"SUV Rental under an Emergency Executive Order
If the Governor signs an executive order placing the State of Florida under a state of emergency, the special Standard SUV Executive Order rate will be made available to first responders going to a disaster area. Reservations for the SUV vehicles will be based upon available supply. "

So hurricane = Standard SUV sale! woohoo! lol

This was like 10 years ago. Published rate didn't match and they had so many garbage fees.

It ended up being more expensive than Avis.

But of course back than I was clueless :(

I remember getting ripped off a few times myself back in the day - mostly by Budget.

I thought that someone recently was asking about a premium or SUV code, but I couldn't find the post.

AWD S829900 25% off SUV / premium cars

I think this is a new one, works for SUVs and premium cars. Actually, I think you get a discount on every car class except X, but I'm not sure, didn't test it out.

As far as I know, anyone can use this code - might be able to stack it with a coupon, like free upgrade or something.

When I try to use this code it says it needs to be redeemed at the pick up counter and that a paper coupon must be presented

EDIT - nevermind I figured it out

Anyone have experience renting Avis at PDX? I'm looking to book a trip with my wife for a long weekend (Friday-Tuesday) in September or October, and for all the weekends, rates are $250+ with a free weekend day coupon and using the USAA AWD (base rate is about $55/day for an intermediate). Anyone know if this is normal? Budget and Hertz come in a little cheaper. Budget as low as $140 and Hertz around $190, depending on the weekend. Thanks!
