Well.. I guess I'll start it off. My most reliable for consistantly low rates, unlimited miles, free LDW, and no hassle is still L093590.

they keep elmininating the thread because you are defrauding Avis. If you really think you will receive free LDW using this discount code you are sadly mistaken. This discount code actually belongs to a corporation who does alot of buisness with Avis, Thats why they receive free LDW. The 10% or so you get off your rental doesn't matter its the fraudulent LDW which cost Avis millions each year...and you complain about free upgrade!:(

Seeing the sad face he's making, it seems to have taken him 6 years to get the courage to respond, perhaps this thread caused him to be depressed untill now.

Actually I believe the 6 year old AWD # "L" has been dead for years. That company changed it 3 or 4 years ago to G417900
Still a consistently reliable discount code without any hassles.^

Which is kind of funny, since I, and I suspect most people here are the same, have never heard of Kellwood/Kellsport, other than from hearing about it on this thread. I would guess that this AWD is used far in excess of what makes sense for the size of the company.

Ummmm. at 2+ billion in annual sales, and 32,000 employees, I don't think they are such a small company. Maybe that's why they have negotiated a great AWD. Just my humble opinion. ;)

DOW Jones Info
Kellwood is in every closet. Founded in 1961 and headquartered in St. Louis, MO, Kellwood company (NYSE: KWD) is one of the largest apparel makers in the US. The company makes men's and women's clothes, lingerie, hats, camping goods, and children's apparel. Brands include Koret, Sag Harbor, Kelty, Slumberjack, Wenzel, Sierra Designs, Briggs New York, Group B Clothing, Romance du Jour, Phat Fashions, and Gerber Childrenswear. It sells in stores and catalogs. The company has annual revenue of about $2.1 billion and employs about 32,000 people.

You missed he point entirely! I just said that I have not heard of them. Do you know the names and are you familiar with the brands and businesses of all the companies in the S&P 500? I was not being critical, I was just stating that I have not heard of them, and am not familar with that company. That does not require defending the company, does it?

However, even if it is for a smart car, or some other teeny weeny econobox, $200.79 a.i. is a fantastic rate!

Can that problem be circumvented for those using Avis Preferred service whereby the counter is bypassed?

I though I read once that Avis tries to check whether you're using an AWD number that doesn't normally correspond to your profile (not sure how they know it is normal though).

Can someone pls share some wonderful AWD coupon codes for use during the festive season?

Hohoho..... :-)

Z387740 another good rate. Not as good as A113400

As a preferred member, have you ever gone directly to the lot/garage, and looked for your name on the welcome board, and instead of a car space number opposite your name, you see CTR or CNTR (meaning COUNTER)? I have, and although it has generally been because of expired credit card or drivers license, it has also been occasionally for verification of coupons or AWD numbers.

AWD# Q319767 has worked for me. The discount has been up to 25%. Have used it several times and have never been asked for any documentation.

Only time its happened to me, is when they have run out of my reserved car class

Rates fell, so I just updated my three April weeks in Ireland. Booked a Ford Focus for $207.68 with no AWD#. (Wasn't sure if I could fit in an Opel Corsa) Also booked the same with K444404 for $180.92. This rate is so ridiculous, I'm wondering if the NetJet code is worth the risk.

May just keep both reservations so I have a backup. Is this a legit scheme? Any other euro codes or coupons which safely apply?

THX for the great info here!

ETA: Just applied the AA discount, now rez is $190.17. Incredible!
