It must be unique to the A380.

I flew JFK-ICN a little over a week ago in F and it was the old amenity kit.

How often does the A380 get swapped on the LAX-ICN route? Planning to fly in mid-March. I would love try the A380 but hate to get stuck with the old 747.

It does not get swapped much at all. Nobody can predict the future but right now (Feb 2015) the 2 OZ A380s (HL7625, HL7626) are flying quite a bit between ICN, LAX and HKG. I would book that ticket for mid-March.
