You're not having much luck with OZ A380 inaugurals.

philphys mentioned in the 2nd post of this thread that this is due to Airbus delivering the 2nd A380 to OZ later than the original schedule.
Yes, there is always a chance the delay gets further extended, and we all hope this won't happen.

Yeah, it looks that way. Unless OZ decides to go ahead with the A380 to LAX as originally planned but only every other day until they get the second one. Not at all holding my breath for that to happen though.

Looks like CFF (Cabin First Flight) was done on July 12th.

Since OZ 1st A380 was delivered 21 days after CFF (and looking at KE A380s, the last two show 25 days and 21 days, respectively), I'd say OZ will have their second A380 on early August.

Just enough to keep the revised schedule.

Thank you for the upbeat report.

The 380 is now scheduled ICN-NRT through Aug. 25. http://airlineroute.net/2014/07/14/oz-nrt-aug14/

OK, the schedules have changed yet again, for better this time.

Delivery of OZ 2nd A380 seems to be scheduled on July 25th: http://a380.boards.net/thread/636/a380-msn155-oz-2 (page 11)

And looking at flyasiana.com, it looks like LAX-ICN will be flying A380 from August 20th (followed by ICN-LAX on the same day), while ICN-BKK (and of course ICN-KIX as well?) will have A380 from July 30th.

Plane left on its delivery flight. So those dates probably should stick.

Yes. Once A380 starts ICN-LAX service, ICN-BKK and ICN-KIX will cease to have A380.

ICN-NRT will stop using the A380 when LAX starts as well, but ICN-HKG will continue 5 times a week.

Their A380 site has the relevant routes and dates:

Where will the 2nd plane go? Maybe New York or Sydney? Just saw a picture of 2 OZ A380's parked at ICN on airliners.net. I couldn't resist the low fares out of LAX - just booked a trip for Feb-March '15, and called the LA office to book my seats (upper deck in Y) - the recording says seats will be available online at a later date, but the OZ agent happily gave me row 74 aisle.

They need two aircraft to run daily ICN-LAX.
