Arriving at 7PM from SIN in November, showed them Passport, Itinerary, and $10 US and shortly thereafter had VOA that filled one whole page in the passport. No other paperwork required.

I went to the Bali Concierge site and it looks like it's $50 for the VIP package but they also offer the VOA for $25. Is it possible to just pay the $25 in advance via their website and forego the "VIP" experience/lounge access? I did a dummy run through their website with only the $25 VOA selected and it allowed me to go all the way to the credit card payment page.

Are they still doing the $10 7 day visas? I read on another site that those have been discontinued and all that is left are the $25 30 day visas.

The term is actually derived from the Sanscript word "svastika," and is considered a statement of affirmation such as "life is good." The original direction of spin as conceived by Hindus several thousand years ago is the same as that used by the Nazis but is rotated by 45 degrees. More info here.

No more $10 7 days visa.
FOR SURE..
I learned the hard way on arrval last week.
1 or 30 day visa are all $25 on arrival.
Bali was great, but the $25 fee for a few days left a sour taste.
the new fee went into affect a few weeks ago.

The extra $15 was that big a deal? It's certainly another irritation but on top of the international departure fee, the irritatingly high fares, the airport taxi mafia this is hardly the only pain

I would give a rats ... about the extra 15 dollars, bali is fantasic to visit and with some of the worlds (!) best restaurants (in my opinion) so cheaply priced, i love it.

The clerk at the embassy first dismissed my request for any visa, handing me a paper about the VOA. When I pushed a bit, he insisted I needed a visit visa ($45 and requires bank statement, etc.) not a transit one. That seemed like too much trouble.
If they're really strict about "transiting" rather than "visiting", I'm not sure what circumstances would justify 14 days of transit. Anyway, I'll just hope the line isn't too long when I make it into DPS on a KL 777.

Here's my observations from my recent (Feb 24) arrival into DPS
I flew Air Asia and we were the only recent arrival. I had paid for the 'upgrade' on AirAsia so I was one of only two pax in the first five rows of the A320.
I used the lav when we started our initial descent so I wouldnt have to hit it immediately after deplaning. I would suggest others do the same.
I was, literally, the second pax @ Immigration so I was processed immediately. The line started to bottleneck quickly behind me so my suggestion to anyone arriving to DPS is to try to sit as forward as possible on your inbound flight AND to walk as quickly as possible to immigration. Do not stop to use the lav, do not stop to grab a snack, do not stop for anything. If you can beat the crowd there will be no wait for service.
Also, I had arranged for "Express" immigration service but ended up xcelling it when I looked at the arrivals into DPS at that hour and observed no other flights were due in near mine. Unless there's several inbound flights around the time as yours then this service is a waste of $.
Hope someone finds this useful...
