I have looked up on AC's website that there is a "stop" SFO-YYZ-SCL-EZE. However, there seems to be no change of plane at SCL. Is this true? Do you just sit there whilst the crew refuels or something?

You get off the plane, go through security, back up to the departure lounge, and re-board, with a new crew.

How long does that take approximately? AC does not say. I suppose also that one does not have to go through security again at EZE?

It is about an hour from gate arrival to departure, maybe a bit more.

On arrival at EZE you will pass through immigration and customs, the same as for any international arrival anywhere in the world. Not sure what you mean about going through security again

You mean SCL, right?

I think you do go through security at SCL again, before reboarding your plane to EZE. I went through SCL in both directions, and I just can't say for sure (probably feeling spacey right then). I do know that if you just follow the direction flow you are told to go, everything works out very smoothly.

It was only 20 minutes at most for me but that was several years ago. We're just talking about going through security, right?

No, I'm talking about the total time the aircraft is on the ground. I was off the plane, through security and back in the departure area in less than 10 minutes. (I have connected SCL many times, but only once on AC).
