Youre not serious.... are you...? You cant be serious... Please tell me you are joking... Dear Gaucho100K I really think that Ortega deserves to play a few matches with La Seleccion before his retirement. And I also think that Higuain has to have his chance too. |

Ortega playing for Argentina and River Plate in my opinion the best Argentine football player between Diego's retirement and Messi's appearance. ^ 100% "potrero". |

Do not get me started on the topic of Orteguita aka Mr. Fernet con Vodka... A clown like him does not deserve to wear the national jersey after what he did in his career... Where is your memory...? El burrito is a disgrace, much like what El Gordo did at the US world cup... Both are a shame to Argentine soccer. If La Seleccion is ever going to be truly prestigious again, then it needs more players like Ardiles, Kempes, DiStefano, Batistuta, Valdano.... and less donkeys and cokaine heads that want to white wash a reputation with talent on the field. |

Professional socccer is nothing like potrero.... thats more literature than fact. Tevez has the Potrero traits but despite his issues is a true pro and has made it in the Premier League... Kudos to El Apache. He is nothing like Ortega or El Gordo... |
So Diego's team won 3-2 against Russia today..... lets see how things go when they have to play a real match against Brazil... this match is coming up in early September....

I hate to sound & appear contrarian.... but its gonna take a heck of a lot more to beat Brazil. I pray to God that the team can come together and forget their personal Egos once and for all.... Argentina is a team of amazing individuals but when they are together on the field things just dont happen. If the 5-6 superstars on the team roster could perform at about 50% of what they each do in their league teams then Argentina would be a serious contender..... this team needs to work as a group and have 3-4 straight matches with solid play to establish itself and ear a reputation of sorts.
