I'll be in BA October 14-17 some business (I'll PM you, Gaucho100k), some pleasure. If I stay somewhere with an outdoor pool will it be nice enough to use it (not asking for a weather predictions, just what is normal that time of year).

Thanks!

Swimming in a heated pool on a sunny day in October with the wind coming from the right direction is just about feasible.
An unheated pool? My guess is you'll be on your own.

If the weather would be normal, then I would agree with the above... but given how mad the climate has turned everywhere, we may be baking were in October so maybe a heated pool will be overkill....

I'm not so sure.....but then again I don't like swimming in warm water never mind cold.

The water in our pool (pathetic collapsible thing) isn't survivable even in December until the sun has been on it for a few hours. In October it's still packed away in the cupboard.
My guess is most decent standard hotel pools in BA will be heated......I know the Novotel one is.

In these parts, people who use inflatable or collapsible pools are usually in (start of life, not end of life) diapers, or not too much older than that.

I think permanent outdoor pools are a waste of time and space here unless you have them heated and are keen on swimming. You can only squeeze at the most half a years use out of them and that's really pushing it.

Anyway, my wife has the sole use of our dinky collapsible plunge pool. You won't see me anywhere near it.

Fees are usually about US$4. Limits seem to be at least AR$1000 per w/d. Always consider taking out an odd amount, such as $980 so that you have some smaller bills.

Last month I could do successive transactions of $1000, $1000, $950 (although my US bank daily limit is greater than that). The Banelco/LINK networks only allow a maximum of $1000 per transaction (that's pesos). Each transaction has a separate network charge ...

That is the limit for a machine on the Bancelo network, which is almost all the ATM's in Argentina, however if you go to a Citibank they have 2 types of machines one on the Bancelo network, and another on there own network which allows at least $4000 pesos per transaction.
