Huh? Since when do you clear customs for a domestic flight arrival into EZE? When exiting EZE they don't check for the visa.

Im not saying they check anything upon departure.... I need to go back to the previous posts but I had understood that this person was arriving in from SCL and with a Canadian passport.... hence my comment. I may have misread.

Hello,
Writing this from BsAs. I searched the thread for the location of the tango show discount booth mentioned by iahphx and can't find it. Apologies if I've missed it, but this is a 67 page thread.
So, where is the tango show discount booth?
We're trying to avoid the usual tourist traps and will probably end up going to both the tango show at Tortoni and the one at the Borges Cultural Center. Half the price of El Viejo Almacen so we can so two shows, and they seem to be more highly regarded by those 'in the know'. Any thoughts/opinions?

Ok my turn to ask
Thanks to Gaucho100K for his PM in encouraging me to go.
I will be going to EZE for 2.5 days, alone, and will be staying at the Park Hyatt. Would like to do a walking tour but I either arrive 10am or 11pm xmas eve, haven't decided which airline I am flying and will fly out 10pm day after xmas. So really only 1 full day to enjoy (xmas day).
Gaucho100K has mentioned restaurants will be open but will the menus be like $100 USD min?
Any private walking tour guide that will work that day?
Where is a good place to change money once I arrive?
Any party scenes xmas eve or xmas day? I don't mind going to a bar alone
2000AR should be enough for the time I am there? Not including hotel room/air, just for cabs, food, drinks etc.
Thanks all!

Restaurants will be open. Remember that the set menus will mostly be for Xmas eve, so this means 12/24... some places are offering Xmas day brunch, and I think those are more reasonably priced. After that, its not until NYE that you have these set menu things, and the NYE date is the most extravagant... the top places can charge up to US$700-800 per head for the full program.
To change $$$$, please use the Banco Nacion at Ezeiza, avoid all other money changers like the pest. Unless you start ordering French Champagne, a AR$2000 budget will be more than enough for what seems to be your gameplan.

Ripoff. I think the standard taxi rate is the neighborhood of $25. You can even get Fred's Lincoln service for a fair amount less.

Great thank you. Seemed high, but had no frame of reference. So is there a 'preferred' taxi service I should look for? I would prefer one with credit card if possible.

So you are saying do the Fred's Limo service for that piece of mind?Any other 'piece of mind' recommendations you would offer to this newbie?

We are arriving this Friday late evening and staying at the BA Marriott for 5 nights, then Iguaza for 1 night at the Sheraton and then Santiago Ritz for 4 nights.
Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

I don't see anything wrong with the fare you were quoted to be honest. Knowing that someone will be waiting for you in a strange airport after a long flight to get you to your hotel is always worth paying a bit extra for. I'm not saying you would have a problem organising transport yourself on arrival but it does give you one less thing to worry about.

BTW...were are you from in Scotland originally? My mother was born in the upper Heberdies (spelling) and I have relatives in Glasgow.
