Who knows if it was actually construction, when construction was done, if construction is finishing up, etc..., but it looks like they just started to hire. Likely going to be like AA FL where everyone is new, but at least it's progress that this damn place is finally going to reopen.

Centurion lounges aren't usable on arrival anyway.

They are if you have a connecting flight.

I was really tempted to join AA Admiral's Club for ~$600 since they're both open at LAX and PHL, but I may hold off and get an Amex Plat just to use the CL instead; rarely get Flagship Lounge on my travels so that's not a consistent option.
That's good news! Posted a week ago and some applicants I am hoping (yes, I know ..) it'll be open 3/1 when I have a 2h30 layover at LAX

You can still be among the first 25 applicants for the position!

Could take a while for them to staff up.

The Citi Executive card is the way to go if you want an AC membership. $450 AF.

Noticed Amex has bought lots of space around TBIT with "Lounge Reopening Soon" adverts.

My understanding is that those adverts have been up for months.

I was in TBIT a few days ago. As before, the lights were on in the lounge. I did not see any activity. I am flying out of LAX next weekend, and I will check again.

I was at the star alliance lounge yesterday and I saw a Centurion Lounge Grab and Go sign at the what use to be etihad lounge. it looks like lounge not opening any time soon. Which is a bummer since delta now operates a majority of the flights I fly on from TBIT.

Maybe they're going to use the sign as a treasure hunt. Winner gets to pick the next excuse reason the lounge is closed.

I heard the vendor who was responsible for running the lounge has connections to Russian oligarchs so they now have to push back opening another two years.

I also heard that the lounge was actually a subleased space from Kim and Kanye and they have to wait for their divorce proceedings to finalize in order to actually open the lounge.

LAX now appears in Amex's Find a Lounge feature as "Grab N' Go Only"
